Next to Sheffield Business Park, the Mercure Sheffield Parkway is just 4 miles from Sheffield city center. Really convenient location for the nearby Advanced Manufacturing Park. Hotel is currently in the middle of a large building site, but this didn't impact it at all (no noise or disruption at all), and is a good sign that the area is being regenerated. Shopping mall nearby (plus giant Costa and a huge fish & chip restaurant) if you feel like going out, but the hotel restaurant is also very comfortable and good. Very comfortable stay (much quieter than previous experiences of staying in Sheffield or Rotherham centres), will definitely stay here again.

Well did not go sight seeing, needed some where over two nights, due to Darts competition at the Magna centre. But due to the so called studio apartment upset me and the wife, and found a travel-lodge in Sheffield instead.
My daughter lives there!! I do know the Policing isn't fair to the average law abiding person, they seem indoctrinated to be biased towards the offenders if they are non British. It has filthy spots, but some beautiful places. I ate in The Drawbridge right beside my hotel, smashing food, and the staff were even better!!!
Rotherham, and in particular, Rawmarsh, is a dump. There is no real point in visiting unless, like me, you were there to visit friends or for work. The town centre is clean but lacks shops; there are few places to eat or drink and they all look pretty rough. I tried the cafe at Tesco Extra, but on 23rd March this seemed to have closed for lunch(!). All the eateries seemed to have decamped to the Park Gate shopping centre, about a mile from the town centre. This is a pity because the town centre could easily be made to be quite an attractive destination. Rawmarsh seems to have died in about 1950: it is dirty and full of derelict buildings, as well as rough looking pubs: it doesn't look like a good place to be walking after dark.
Wanted to visit a poorly friend in the town - unable to stay with them, due to situation - will be back again, and now feel confident to stay alone. Travelled up from Devon, was great to receive a warm welcome on arrival
We where visiting Doncaster not Rotherham the consort hotel was freezing cold too. No hot water no restaurant and we couldn’t stay out second night travelled home early hours both unwell now with a chill
excellent customer service from amanda and her manager, very warm welcome. i asked questions and they were answered without hesitation. the t.v in our designated room wasnt working and we were offered alternative room, so our stay wasnt spoilt by something so small. i would recommend staying here to anyone who asked my opinion, thank you to welcome inn for a very enjoyable experience. mr and mrs smith.
I miss my coach from London Victoria and I tried to reach the hotel but no one was there to answer call for the whole night and in the morning I called Booking.com to arrange with them maybe I can still use my payment but they are not reachable. On arrival to the hotel next day I show them all my call and in order to be able to use my down payment but they totally refuse they said the money as gone you have to rebook another one
A newly renovated hotel, always room to improve. Clean room. Everything is new in there. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Any issues get solved right away. Walkability is excellent, really good restaurants & takeout spots nearby. I highly recommend this place. I have family in Rotherham. I will definitely stay here again.
Rotherham
This was a great place to stay overnight & was close to the venue we were attending. It was clean & the room very spacious. Our room was round towards the back of the property so was very quiet & private, we would stay here again if we were in the area & it was very decent priced & the staff very friendly.
Good room with very comfortable bed. Furniture is adequate for needs. Bathroom spacious and clean. At least they provide kettle, tea bags, coffee, milk (plural!) and such, unlike many other well known hotel chains. Breakfast was good value. Would stay again if in area.
Very accommodating staff, easy to reach and park by car. Good car park, good bar / restaurant area. Rooms were comfy and nice, freshly decorated. Breakfast was good. Bathroom was modern and shower was good!
A delightful Boutique Hotel. Staff extremely friendly.Hoel was clean and comfortable .Food was very good and the patio area was very pleasant for a relaxing drink.
Always use the Ibis good location and excellent value. We use it when traveling to North Yorkshire or visiting our family in Rotherham . Staff really helpful .
Even though there was a function on our room was the other end of the hotel and couldn’t hear anything!
All hotels in Sheffield and Rotherham were fully booked, so it was good to find a room to stay at.
Quiet area. Easy walk into town. Easy to find.
