Originally built in 1843, the elegant Château La Chaire is truly one of the islands' finest country house hotels, with a superb fine-dining restaurant boasting AA Red Star and Rosette awards. The people who worked at the hotel were delightful, friendly, helpful and hard workers. The location was perfect. The wedding we attended at the hotel was unforgettable. Such a lovely time we will never forget. Thank you hotel staff.
Within the 32-acre Durrell Wildlife Park, the Durrell Wildlife Camp is in the rural parish of Trinity. It offers self-catering tents with free WiFi. A literary mecca for Durrell book fans. Astonishingly comfortable glamping. International visitors should not miss this hidden accommodation gem. Super fluffy beds, proper private showers and toilets and your very own kitchen. What’s more, beautiful birdsong and small wildlife throughout the day. What better place to read (or re-read) Durrell’s books! Friday and Saturday nights you can takeout Thai and Pizza and eat under the stars on your private tent deck with a bottle of wine. Have you ever had thai curry while watching lemurs come and go? Incomparable! The zoo’s restaurants serve fancy hot entrees (several notches above most zoos - see photo) so they are a reliable daily meal option. Particularly like the fact that the “tourist” dollars spent here benefits not a corporate hotel chain, but the wildlife center and its conservation projects.
Overlooking Bouley Bay, this 4-star guest house with an outdoor swimming pool occupies an countryside setting in Trinity. The hotel was very clean, organized, and in a quiet location which we preferred than been in a noisy, crowded St. Helier large hotel. My aunt, my cousin, and I fell in love with the owner and hostess- Aida- who was extremely helpful, kind, and always attentive! She even drove us to the local pub for dinner at no charge on the day we arrived to the hotel! She was constantly asking us if we needed anything else in our rooms like more milk, orange juice, cereal, eggs etc..... I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family members! I would definitely stay in this hotel in the future if I ever return to Jersey Island! Great family experience!!!!!!
This small, quiet hotel is 1 mile north of St Helier and surrounded by countryside. It has a pub, restaurant, a sunny patio, and is on a bus route to St Helier. The quality of the food was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly . The owner/manager is extremely hard working to make sure that all is well for you. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet !! I would stay there again .
Located by the Gorey Harbor, the Dolphin Hotel offers a seafood restaurant and a Mediterranean bar and grill. Free WiFi and free parking are also available. Breakfast was great. Location was right where bus connections can be made to all parts of the island.
small and quiet with lovely views and an enjoyable stroll before dinner. The peaceful sheltered bay was quite delightful and the little village pleasant and picturesque. We had two meals at the Hotel and one meal in the Rozel Pub. It was an adventure getting to the hotel as roads in Jersey are not that well signposted and as we didn't have Sat Nav. ended up going the wrong way on several occasions. The island is not large and possible to get round in a day. Be sure to check if attractions are open after September.
