Brocco On The Park Boutique Hotel, hotel in Sheffield

Located in Sheffield, 5.1 miles from Utilita Arena Sheffield, Brocco On The Park Boutique Hotel has accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Never stayed at a hotel that was so hospitable. Hotel staff constantly took care of us and anything we needed. They really treated us like family and brought us homemade pastries every morning that just made our day. We really appreciated our fridge was stocked with water and milk every day. The restaurant's food is amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The rooms on the top floor were perfect for our stay and had beautiful views of Sheffield. The staff was so helpful at helping me get around town and give me ideas on kid friendly activities around town. Love the location of the hotel as well. You're in walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and Endcliffe Park as well as the downtown boutique shops. Matthew recommended us to visit Graves Animal Park and that was only a 15 minute drive and perfect place for children.

FAQs about hotels in Sheffield

Beyond The Full Monty

Partially located in the Peak District, Sheffield is best known as the setting of "The Full Monty" and indeed, vibrant Sheffield has everything: excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive athletic heritage.

It first became famous during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theater, The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.

Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.

The city’s 2 soccer teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.

Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodations include city center hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guesthouses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.

Good bus routes to Peak District.

Good bus routes to Peak District. Visited Heights of Abraham one day and Buxton spa and Poole's Cavern the next. Limited food stops close to hotel but recommend 15mins walk to London Road where range of oriental cuisines for take away or sit in. Transport around Sheffield excellent with frequent bus and tram services. And when your there, don't miss the Crucible Theatre and the Kelham Island Museum. Plus Ponds Forge if you're into aquatic sports.

Large city but has local feel.

Large city but has local feel. Bus and tram network is excellent, easy to travel around. City brands itself on Sport and doesn't disappoint. At time of visit there was a lot of building works near to hotel. Hopefully when finished will make a great place. Other side of city was lovely, lots of greenery, smooth traffic roads and lots of active travel facilities. For best food I went over to London Road, about 15mins walk.

Sheffield is like a second home to us, as my son studied university there. It's challenging in terms of walking - very hilly but that is part of the charm. People are really friendly and warm. I also love the diversity. It is a very compact city, but with very green suburban areas. Many architectural and nature sites. The food scene is very diverse, as there are many overseas students.

Unfortunately I was in Sheffield to facilitate a family function and did not have much chance to look around the city On my next visit I will stay at the Quays hotel again and take the opportunity to have a good look around. From what I could see getting around Sheffield is very easy and the transport system is very good There were many places to eat offering a variety of good food
