This family-run hotel in the West Highlands has good food and comfortable, basic rooms. It is close to Spean Bridge Train Station and 9 mi north of Fort William. The hospitality was exceptional. They made us feel very welcome and any request was granted. The food was excellent and the rooms were ideal for our overnight stay. Thank you to all the staff at Spean Bridge.
The Braes Guest House is located in Spean Bridge. Among the various facilities of this property are a garden and ski storage space. The property provides free private parking and free WiFi. Best place in Highlands I ever visited. Quiet location just outside the Spean Bridge with a stunning view on Grey Corries. The beautiful oak forest surrounding the house. Delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms. Very friendly atmosphere, extremely helpful people.
Set in Spean Bridge, Coire Glas Guest House has a shared lounge, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. At the guest house, all rooms include a wardrobe. Stunning location that we escaped to after a rainy nights camping. Lovely hosts (as was Flora). Room was squeaky clean, beds very comfortable and shower excellent (We LOVED the toiletries). Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile.

Offering garden views, Masada country house in Spean Bridge offers accommodations, a shared lounge and a garden. There is a seating and a dining area in all units. Fantastics hosts, they really pampered us. A lot of nice touches such as water bottles in the room, disposable slippers and access to a great variety of tea and coffee. Great views from the patio and really nice breakfast.
went to the hotel which has a take away fish and chip shop at the back of it, staff were absolutely lovely chatted away while i waited on it being freshly made, and it was definately worth it, the fish was fantastic well worth getting it from there, nice clean place
Ideally situated North of Fort William at the junction of the Fort William / Inverness / Aviemore roads with its station on the main railway line to Glasgow means it is well placed for touring. There are a couple of restaurants, a café, small supermarket and old woollen mill selling knitwear, and an associated whisky outlet which is quite impressive for what is essentially a village.
For hitting the Munros this is a great location - lots to choose from. Couple of food options, the Station Bar on Friday night was comfortable and tasty. 15 minute drive into Fort William gets you to the Spice Curry House - possibly the best view from any Curry House in the UK ?
We only stayed one night on our way to Skye and again one night on return journey so didn’t really explore Spean bridge but it looked like a nice little villiage. We didn’t eat out. Nice commando memorial to visit.
Enjoyed the vegan option (moussaka with lentil sauce) at the Old Station restaurant: great comfort food. Nice pints on draft (Spean Bridge lager - local!- and Station Yard pale ale) with very friendly service. The local Spar shop, next to the hotel, is well stocked and even has vegan items. I have used Spean Bridge as a starting point for stages of the Great Glen Way but this is the first time I overnighted. Would do so again.
A great location, ideally suited for setting up for exploring and discovering the stunning surrounding area. I would definitely return and book early to try a different room and continue to explore the area and revisit my favourites.
The hospitality was exceptional. They made us feel very welcome and any request was granted. The food was excellent and the rooms were ideal for our overnight stay. Thank you to all the staff at Spean Bridge.
Everything was great. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Especially liked that it was dog friendly, the attention to detail of the lodge and the location.
