Stamford is a lovely quaint old town with lots of little side alleys that draw you in to look around. The architecture of the town is charming. There are plenty of tea rooms/coffee shops, pubs and restaurants etc. for when you feel the need to eat and drink. All in all an interesting place to stay.
Stamford is a beautiful old town built in honey coloured stone. There are lots of interesting buildings, lots of great restaurants, cafes and a wide variety of shops from standard high street retailers to smart independent shops. A great place for a weekend break with Rutland Water, Burley House and park very close by. We recommend the Mad Turk restaurant where we had a brilliant meal from start to finish. The staff are excellent at their jobs.
Lovely pretty market town, easily reached from A1. Plentiful high Street stores and independent shops. Very historic. Good walking in Burghley Park. House worth a visit. Lovely for a long weekend break. Can recommend Zada Turkish restaurant. Beautiful area to explore.
We ate in a nice Italian restaurant called Cloisters. The meal was very good and Stamford looked like a pretty town. It was raining heavily so we didn't explore the town but I could see it was classy.
Pretty location and easy to walk within on foot. Very accessible to the A1 and outlying areas. Second trip to Stamford and despite Covid measures it was lovely. I would strongly recommend Barnsdale Gardens near Oakham and a trip to Rutland Water (bike hire is available there and if you’re feeling up to it, the ride around the perimeter is approx 3 hours).
Stamford is a beautiful town, with many historic buildings. the pedestrianised High Street had a vibrant market on Friday and Saturday. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from and interesting small shops

The property is beautifully designed with everything you need for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Andrew was on hand for anything we needed and very friendly and gave us great advice on local places including a lovely pub! This cottage has been decorated with beautiful designs and styles and it is very well looked after, super clean and comfy. We particularly loved the huge comfy bed and the added bonus of having a smart tv in the lounge so we could quite literally relax away from our busy lives.
