Really enjoyed staying here, nice quite location. The gentleman who runs the place single handed is excellent and really looks after his guest. Dinner was great as was our breakfast. I look forward to staying here again.

From the very lovely rooms and comfy bed, the warm and inviting pub atmosphere, the wonderful breakfast (£15 but worth it), the staff being really great… and the dedicated parking lot that made everything extra easy, this inn is a wonderful place to rest your head. But above all one of the innkeepers gave me a very personal suggestion at breakfast of where to head that day, a very special place she shared that had spread her own mothers ashes… needless to say it was truly the most magnificent day because of her spending the time and personal story to suggest something to me, and I am forever grateful to her for her beautiful kindness!!

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful. James is a great chef. I had a lovely dinner and breakfast. The location is great with walks straight from the accommodation and some good birdwatching.

A lovely unique experience. Felt immediately welcomed into Melanie's home. Having a leisurely breakfast chatting around the kitchen table whilst Melanie prepared a gorgeous breakfast was a great finish to what had been a perfect week exploring some of Scotland. The house is just stunning and being made to feel really part of it rather than just another guest was really special.

This place is a treasure.

This place is a treasure. The views are amazing from the windows. However, the inside is equally impressive. The decor is stunning, and the finishing touches are wonderful. The food was excellent and the reception from the owners, warm and welcoming. I would not hesitate to go back

We stayed in Strathyre early February and the local cafe and...

We stayed in Strathyre early February and the local cafe and pub were not open. Possibly the pub was open in the evening but with small children that wasn't possible for us. It would have been nice to eat out. Scenery lovely.

Like nothing about the property out dated no staff given a...

Like nothing about the property out dated no staff given a one choice breakfast menu when you arrived ask about evening meals could only provide ham egg and chips it was served like a dogs dinner breakfast was served at 08:30 to 10:00 when ask for an early breakfast the answer was no so I got out off there at 07:30 and never looked back 🤬

A great welcome from the owners of The White Stag They are very helpful and couldn't do enough for us The beer is great and we really enjoyed it We didn't see much of the local are as we were on the way home from the Summer Isles but it looks very senic

I already wrote on trip advisor but I really feel that another platform will convey how happy I am with my stay. The new owners appear to have worked very hard to make the hotel warm and inviting and I can see that some previous reviews are poor which should not be a reflection on this place as it is now. Both owners and staff were incredibly accommodating, the rooms were spotless, the food was gorgeous, the prices were reasonable...absolutely will return! I wish them the best of luck and lots of success with this new venture! Absolute naturals!
