MalaysiaWe arrived later than expected, but the owner was kindly waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. He took the time to guide us through the facilities, including how to use the coffee machine, which was much appreciated. He also offered helpful suggestions for nearby restaurants. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay — everything was great, and we truly enjoyed our time there!

Beautiful place and really convenient for onward travel.
Beautiful place and really convenient for onward travel. The Clyde is accessible from the end of the harbour and 5 minutes away is the Islay route and 10 minutes is the ferry to Arran.
Plenty of restaurants especially fish dishes and and excellent Whisky shop

Small quaint town with just enough shops, a grocery, really...
Small quaint town with just enough shops, a grocery, really nice whisky shop, and pharmacy. Right on the water with benches along the way to sit and relax. The town is totally walkable, no driving required. The climb to the castle ruins is easy and worth the minimal effort.

Familiar with Tarbert for years.
Familiar with Tarbert for years. While it is pleasant to see local facilities and housing upgraded, its best characteristics are based on history and the fact that it is still an active fishing port..Were it to become something like Tobermory, Culross or in parts, Portree, it would lose a great deal of its charm and purpose.

Stairs in house and incline to get in the house. They make you well aware of that when booking. We were up early to catch a ferry - provided a generous bagged breakfast. Whole place has so much personality. Would definitely recommend.

Attractive fishing village with marina, castle ruins and good independent shops. Excellent stop over while exploring the Mull of Kintyre. Easy parking, good choice of restaurants and clean simple accommodation.

This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from...
This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.

The situation in the harbour is fantastic. The room and bathroom is bigger than most hotel rooms. There was a slight problem with the toilet cistern. A spare part was required which couldn't be obtained immediately. Allan was very helpful and even offered a part refund, for what was not a major issue. Would stay again.

Very comfortable and spacious room, great bathroom and lovely views over the water. Martyn was very helpful and quick to respond. He was also able to store our bikes overnight. We had a delicious meal in Cicchetti-Tarbert - thoroughly recommend.

The saving grace for this hotel was the food was very good, and the view over the harbour was stunnjng. We had Bed and Breakfast and ate in the restaurant each night for dinner. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
