Located on the sunny Suffolk Heritage Coast, Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel offers modern rooms with picturesque views. Staff excellent especially a young lady called Catelin who served us from the Bar. All staff helpful. Food better than expected! Some small areas of the property needed maintenance but did not detract from our stay. A good base for the area with a quality golf course thrown in.

Great base for walking but also great for those who just like a little wander. Cafe and pub in village so you dont have to go far to escape the kitchen. Scenic coastline, good for the soul. The village is definitely a step back in time.

Very quiet off season, great walks to beach, very interesting history that i did not know before staying , fantastic architecture if thats your interest , also much quieter than its neighboring attraction down the road.
The Weather was fantastic, loved the boating lake it was idyllic. The Local pub, The Dolphin has quality food and there a village cafe for breakfast or coffee and cakes. Thorpeness is a Brilliant base to explore the surrounding area on foot, bike or in your car.
The rooms are in need of updating and the prices need to reflect this more closely. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. The wait for cooked breakfast food was long, as each tables food was cooked by one chef. When busy this could be an issue, especially if you have timed plans. Avoid basic rooms, as they are not all positioned well within the grounds.
Beautiful finish, lovely out look, peaceful. Well equipped, good selection of dvd for a rainy day. Great location.
Beautifully equipped and spacious cottage. Very tranquil location.
