Les is a great cook and host! We hung out, laughed a lot, swapped stories and creeds till way past my normal bedtime...and the conversations were fabulous! The beds were comfy, and my whole family slept great and woke up to a delicious breakfast feeling refreshed and ready to go on to our next Scottish adventure!

Beautiful location, facing an expanse of highland hills from the terrace. It was lovely watching the birds in the backyard with a glass of wine. Very quiet and calm little town, with a few nice restaurants, a small store and a well-stocked whisky store. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, and spacious apartment made it a very nice stay (despite the characteristic wet Scottish weather!)

A fantastic and well equipped hostel which had plenty of space for our large family holiday (8 adults/8 children). The hostel was cleaned to a really high standard and was lovely and warm within a few minutes of turning up the radiators. While we didn't meet our host due to it being a community run hostel, all the information about our check in was provided well in advance to ensure a seamless arrival and check out. We will definitely consider booking again when we are next exploring the Highlands!

breakfast was exceptional with many choices on the menu to suit everyone. the breakfast room was a lovely light and airy conservatory which we really liked. our room was superb and the bed was very comfortable. our location was a short stroll to the centre of town.

Great hotel! Fantastic staff - we had a good laught with Marc who checked us in, served us in the restaurant and bar and checked us out. He and his wife Lucy are fantastic people to run the hotel. The food was very good, we did not expect that high ambition in the kitchen. The restaurant was also buzy with guests from other hotels so do not forget to secure a table in the restaurant in advance. To sit in the bar before bedtime in front of the open fire with a local whisky, Glen Allache, as Marc recommended us is a great memory we will keep. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious, clean and nicely furnished and we slept like babies. We will definitely come back!
