Inside the South Stand of Twickenham rugby stadium, 4.7 miles from Heathrow Airport, this stylish 4-star hotel offers a health club next door and satellite TV. Nice view from the room. Sport center that is next to the hotel and free for guests was a nice addition. The food at the bar in the evening was good as well.
A short south of Twickenham High Street, The Alexander Pope Hotel is a modern, fully air-conditioned hotel with a traditional pub, overlooking the River Thames. Our room was large, had a lot of character and a balcony over looking a park and the river. It was extremely comfortable. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. Lastly the food at their pub was delicious. The included breakfast was very well done also.
Just 1640 ft from Twickenham Rugby Stadium, Twickenham Guest House offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, just a few minutes' walk away from the main high street. Friendly staff , very clean and warm . Staff felt able to accommodate my small trailer without any hassle . The location , so near to Richmond , was great . I was able to find an excellent gastropub for my evening meal and greatly enjoyed a brief tour of the neighborhood which I had not seen before.
Located just 1.1 mi from Twickenham Stadium, St Margarets features accommodations in Twickenham with access to a shared lounge, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. It's a perfect location for anyone who's going to watch rugby. It's quite and just around the corner from local amenities and the train station.
A 15-minute walk from Richmond Tube Station and 25 minutes from Kew Gardens, Bingham Riverhouse features luxurious rooms, some overlooking the River Thames. Amazing venue. Fabulous food, staff & service. They hosted my Son & daughter in laws wedding too. The whole day was magical. Thank you to all at The Bingham Riverhouse for giving us the most special day.
Located in Richmond upon Thames, 1.7 mi from Richmond Park and 1.2 mi from Kew Gardens, Richmond Riverside provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a restaurant and a bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are amazing and the view is spectacular. We had an evening flight from Heathrow and the hotel offered me late checkout and booked my Taxi. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return one day
A lovely place to stay and easy to get to neighbouring places of interest. First time we had visited this area but it certainly won't be the last. We visited so many places in four days and still have lots more we want to explore in the future.
As I was attending a wedding I did not get the chance to explore but with the Thames and Hampton Court nearby and good connections to central London it would be a good place for tourists to use as a base.
Rugby stadium ! We came the day before the match and in the quiet early morning was rewarded with blue skies and empty streets - great for the photos. The high street has a range of take-away restaurants and lots of sports pubs. Note - there are no stadium tours within 3 days of a match. Looking for the perfect place for a pre-game drink? the Marriot Hotel is right on the stadium. Be aware the streets are really busy for 3 hours after the game and we had to wait for over 1 1/2 hours for our taxi to arrive.
Good range of shops and close to places of interest such as Hampton Court Palace, Bushy Park etc. Nice walk along the Thames to Richmond in one direction and Teddington in the other direction. Good variety of restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets. Easy access to the centre of London via the local train stations.
A lovely place, we felt safe all the time which was important as we have 2 small children. Close to Richmond Park which is beautiful. We were there for a wedding but would have loved to have more time to explore. Hopefully we will go back one day.
Twickenham has a good range of shops and is close to the Thames. There's a lovely walk along the river into Richmond in one direction and Teddington in the other. There's also a very good range of pubs and restaurants locally to suit all tastes and pockets. Local places of interest such as Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace are easily accessible by using the excellent local bus service. Also, Twickenham is not far from the centre of London and is easily reached by train.
