Pewsey (Near Upavon)
Stunning 3 bedroom cottage, all ensuite, near Stonehenge, Salisbury, Avebury and Bath is located in Pewsey and offers a restaurant, a fitness center and a garden. I met Mary on arrival, I was the first of our group coming from around London, and Mary kindly let me turn up earlier than Check-In time on the Friday so I could get a few hours work in. We also met Simon later on in the day who was very kind and suggested places to eat / pubs to visit. There is a visitors book which has all the information you may need in and out the house, as well as the local area. The house is very spacious, clean, cosy and great for a group of 6 (there were 5 of us), perks including a dishwasher (save hand washing), clothes drier upstairs and ensuite bathrooms to each bedroom was ideal! Our friends have bought a house locally that needs a lot of work, so we all came together to do some manual labour on the weekend. Mary kindly let us use the showers on Sunday after check-out times so we could return home clean. Will absolutely be booking again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great off the beaten path to go away from the overfill of local tourist spots, yet you can relax here away from other tourists in the evening. Locals who work and venture into the pub are more than friendly to talk with you to give you the local good info of where or how to explore the region. I give this village a two thumbs up and will return again.
Friendly staff, welcoming to us and our dog, we felt like family by the end, wonderful food, freshly cooked and well priced. Comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom, clean and well presented! Will be returning!
Upavon is a very small village with a lovely old church and some thatched cottages, very pleasing. Used buses to get around, the view on the top deck were great and didn't mind how long it took. Although they were good on the whole but stopped by early evening and very sparse on Sundays.
Upavon is just a small village in Wiltshire so if you are looking for a rowdy night go somewhere else. If you want to see Wiltshire and it's beautiful scenery and lovely villages it's a great base.
