From the minute we arrived to when we said goodbye on the Monday morning the staff made us feel as if we were at our own home. Polite and very professional. A special mention to 2 exceptional staff members Santosh and Agnieszka you are a credit to yourself and your employer. Mr MacDonald would be very proud of you both

From the minute you enter this hotel you know that it's well run. The room facilities were generous, even down to a choice of soft or firm pillows. Their focus is on guest comfort and it makes you feel welcome. The breakfast and dinner were superb. A small.lift made managing our luggage easy.

I liked the set up of the bedroom and the bedding was clean and lovely. And the bathroom was clean as well.
I also loved the fact I can make my tea in my room not go all the way downstairs just for a cup of tea when tired after a long journey.

Lovely little shopping area and beautiful historic buildings. Nice variety of shops in shopping centre. Lots of redevelopment going on so would be interested to go in a couple of years time to see what it's like.

Wigan certainly has an interesting history and the information provided at my accommodation was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. Green parks and walks right on the doorstep, very refreshing and certainly somewhere I will be back to visit. A lovely shopping centre within easy reach and with friendly locals.

There is significant historical and cultural interest in Wigan, especially industrial architecture and the wonderful local museum and George Orwell library. The people are very friendly, talk to them! The town has suffered enormously from economic transition and the effects are still playing out. There are a few nice eateries and bars in Wigan but you have to seek them out. Go visit, the town needs you and you will learn a lot.

A friendly and efficient welcome from all the staff I had cause to talk to - typical of the majority of pleasant people from the Wigan area. A small but very clean room, with everything that I could realistically need for a short stay. Excellent shower. I didn't eat in, but I enjoyed a couple of good pints at the usual great value Wetherspoon prices. A busy and clearly a popular place, but calm, and no noise reached my room from the bars and restaurants. Free parking on site. I would be happy to stay there again.
1. Room rate was relatively cheap
2. Room was very clean
3. Room and common areas kept warm with real fire in reception
4. Dining area looks over lawn and pleasant wooded area
5, Cooked breakfast pretty reasonable
6. Staff in the main friendly but mgmt. need to spend some time training the junior staff. However Covid obviously currently plays into this point as guess many of the younger junior staff have not worked at the hotel for long.
7. Nice location with plenty of car park spaces
The lad behind bar was absolutely brilliant, alway helping, we stayed one night, room was ok for price, it clean, toilet and shower clean, ever had shower gel, bed was comfortable. TV had great selection of channels, A very short walk to town centre, a few pubs around the area. We got taxi to rugby match at dw stadium from town centre cost us £6. Walked back took 30 mins.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing all the information on the area that we needed. Food was hot, filling and plentiful with a great choice. Hotel room was large and spotlessly clean with extra tea/coffee etc readily available in reception.
The hotel was extremely clean. The staff are a credit to the hotel, friendly and helpful. Dinner was tasty and the hotel is perfectly situated for the DW stadium and the town centre.
