The Countryman Inn is a family-run pub and bed and breakfast in the heart of Hardy Country, in East Knighton. A large car park is available. We were visiting The Tank Museum and booked The Countryman Inn as it was nearby and looked lovely. Upon arrival, our party were greeted warmly and shown to our rooms. The suite we stayed in (room 8) was spacious, very clean, and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a television in each room. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and enabled us to get a good night's sleep. After checking in, we went down for dinner, the menu was typical of your average gastro-pub with a little added flair. The service was attentive and prompt and the food was absolutely delicious with all members of the party ordering three courses. The inclusive breakfast was just as delicious with a good range of options so we were all able to find something to satisfy us. I would presume the ingredients are mainly locally sourced as the quality was very high, not your typical 'cheap pub grub' in any sense, though the prices were very reasonable. There is a good range of beers, wines and spirits behind the bar and a beautiful beer garden where we were able to catch the last of the sunshine whilst enjoying a nice cold beer. I would have no issues with recommending The Countryman Inn to other travellers.
