Fantastic businesses location friendliness quality and value for money and convenience spoilt by a scruffy Manager who made the stay a nightmare . Thanks to the wonderful local police who were professional and human and had no say in Jonjo and had to investigate which they did quickly and professionally. Get rid of ( or retrain and discipline I would say final warning if he gets treatment for his nervous disorder .
it is a lovely village with old fashion shops. the people are friendly willing to chat if you get lost. Yeadon is also handy for the airport only a couple of miles away. Skipton.Inkley.and Otley are within a short radius
Mine was mostly a stay put and relax trip. Travel by bus is very easy though the busses are not all on the same ticket system. The day pass is a good deal and exact date is not always needed. Yeadon itself is a nice small town with a high street about a quarter mile long. There are several charity shops, a sweet shop, restaurants and pubs. I remember five pubs and two amusement arcades. The Italian restaurant upstairs across from Morisson's was a treat. Morrisson's (Called Moggy's by locals) has a nice lunch or tea service. Also, the taxi service is quite reasonable for short trips or the sheer convenience, but the whole town is easy walking distance though built on a hill. The train to Leeds city centre is easily reached from Guisely, the next town over and either bus or cab connects back.
We were visiting family. Yeadon was well placed to access attractions. We visited Saltaire and harewood, but there were other places nearby. It is adjacent to the airport, but we were not unduly disturbed by flights overhead.
Yeadon is a really good place to stay when travelling from Leeds Bradford airport which is on the doorstep. It has a great selection of pubs and restaurants and is easy to get around. Although we haven't stayed there for any length of time it is handily placed for interesting places like Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and the Dales so there'd be plenty to do in a longer stay. We've eaten in the White Swan, the Beefeater, Murgatroyds and Amalfi and all were very good.
We wanted to stay near to family in Otley, so Yeadon was good location for us. There is loads to do for families in this part of Yorkshire. Otley is a lovely town with plenty of gift shops, pubs and cafés. The river is beautiful, interesting play park for little ones and the Chevin provides satisfying walks and stunning views. Probably not as well known as neighbouring Ilkley - but every bit as nice.
