The Mount Royale Hotel offers 24 bedrooms all with wireless internet, there is also a bar with a coal fire and a restaurant offering locally sourced produce. The hotel is a family run hotel , with excellent customer service, all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent with a very good choice for breakfast. The room we had was very comfortable but slightly to hot. There was plenty of room and the bed was so comfortable. There was a fridge in the room also an iron and a board, a fan, heater, hairdryer and much more. Very good value for money, highly recommend. It is also idealy suited to walk into the town. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Spa.

Costruito nel 1750 e affacciato sulle rovine dell'Abbazia di Santa Maria e sulla chiesa di St. La suite era bellissima, grande, arredata perfettamente, il letto grande e davvero confortevole. Lo staff molto gentile e disponibile. L'ubicazione della struttura perfetta per una visita del centro città e vicinissima a un parcheggio a pagamento molto comodo e abbastanza economico.

Il Minster Hotel offre la colazione all'inglese, il WiFi gratuito e camere eleganti. It was clean, well located, and the breakfast was amazing. All staff were friendly and helpful. I felt safe at all times. There were social distancing measures in place and hand sanitizer across the hallways. Payment and requests were handled remotely to minimise risks of infection. I recommend this hotel to everyone visiting York.

Opposite York Minster, and less than 200 metres from York city centre, is the Dean Court Hotel Best Western Premier Collection. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The location right beside the Minster was fabulous. You couldn’t get better. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The meals were beautiful. I can’t recommend enough!

Il 5 stelle Grand Hotel & Spa offre camere eleganti e un lussuoso centro benessere con soffitto a volta. The location of this hotel is brilliant. Few minutes walk from the rail station (I just walked with my bag), yet just a short walk to York center. The stairs onto the famous York walls (at least one of the sections) are just across the road. The building is charming, both from the outside and from the inside. I loved every single bit of it. There is an elevator but the stairs are so beautiful that I preferred to climb them every time. I booked Executive room and it was absolutely amazing. The room was very spacious ,with large windows. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and very well planed. It seems that a lot of thought was put in the design, taking into account the little things: places to put things, lighting options (including closet light), various products (including mouth wash), two types of curtains on bathroom window and so on. This was one of the most comfortable rooms I ever stayed in. The staff was warm and welcoming, especially the gentlemen at the door and the cleaning team.

Piccola cittadina medievale, molto viva, che durante le festività natalizie assume un'atmosfera un assai speciale. I numerosissimi pub e ristorante - alcuni vecchi di oltre duecento anni - traboccano di clienti. La York Minster vale da sola il viaggio: le vetrate, il coro, le statue scolpite sui capitelli, ogni dettaglio è una scoperta incredibile.

York è una cittadina a misura d'uomo, caratteristica e accogliente. Il giorno si può visitare praticamente a piedi, perdendosi nelle stradine, tutte particolari per via della conformazione prettamente di carattere storico. Sembrerebbe un paesino da visitare dopo una certa età, invece la sera si può uscire e fare festa, meglio chiaramente il venerdì ed il sabato.
Bella città ricca di storia e tradizione che si respira anche "affogati" dai turisti. Splendida cattedrale e bellissimo centro storico da girovagare in tutta calma . Con un pò di attenzione si riesce ad evitare i soliti posti e scovare qualche piccola "chicca". Consigliata a chi non pensa soltanto a Londra.
città bellissima con molte attrazioni e poi si trova al centro dello yorkshire con l'auto si può fare base qui per partire di giorno in giorno verso mete distanti un'ora d'auto una gita a ripon e fountain's abbey per esempio (45 min) oppure a whitby sul mare (1h30min) chi non è mai stato all'ippodromo di york ci dovrebbe andare per capire bene cosa siano le corse di purosangue in inghilterra una vera festa
Davvero molto caratteristica York, da visitare in ogni suo angolo. Molto suggestivo fare la passeggiata intorno alle mura. Per chi viaggia con i figli, consiglio una visita al museo della cioccolata, da leccarsi i baffi!!!

Gli arredi antichi e romantici. Sul letto ci hanno persino messo dei simpaticissimi orsetti. Il confortevole parcheggio sul retro della struttura e tante altre piccole cose positive, come il fatto che il bus che porta al centro di York si ferma proprio a pochi metri... Abbiamo fatto una buonissima colazione e un'ottima cena nel Pub che si trova al pianterreno della struttura. Nel pub l'ambiente è quello tipico inglese e la gente è cordiale e il simpaticissimo gatto Tom è la vera star del posto!
5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Poplleton da cui con 5 minuti di treno si arriva a York; Linda é disponibile telefonicamente anche prima del tuo arrivo e poi con tanti consigli pratici su posti da visitare e ristoranti (non preoccupatevi, vi prenota lei). La House é incantevole con un giardino curato e rilassante dove gustare tè e biscotti fatti in casa; camere spaziose ed arredate con gusto e con tutti gli accessori anche per i bagni; colazione ottima ed abbondante, con marmellate eccellenti!
L'hotel è ricavato da una classica casa inglese, sotto c'è un pub e sopra le tre stanze per gli ospiti. La struttura è pulita e le camere piccole ma con letti confortevoli. Lo staff molto simpatico, disponibile e cortese. Parcheggio libero in strada senza costi.

The hotel is an hidden gem only 15 minutes walk from the centre of York. The interiors are unbelievable. The hall, the bar and the dining room with the allure of an old and magnificent Manor and the rooms with a quirky yet modern design. The room was clean and of the right size for a one night stay (would have easily have stayed there a couple of nights tho) and it had everything you could ask for. I highly recommend having breakfast in their dining room as it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had on UK soil. The hot breakfast choices (from full English to avocado on toast) are beautifully cooked and the buffet provided you with everything you may want for your continental breakfast including a selection of lovely pastries, cereals and yoghurts and several choices of juices. Mark, one of our waiters in the brekkie room, was an absolute sweetheart and after my other half commented that the hash browns were so good he could have had one more, he went out of his way to make sure another one arrived at our table before we left to check out. Outstanding service through and through and we would definitely be back here on our next visit to York!

Bella ed ampia stanza con vetrata. Vicinissimo alla stazione e a due passi dal centro. Ottima colazione full English, con uovo in camicia, bacon non troppo grasso e tutto quello che ci deve essere.

Never used roomzzz before, so not sure what to expect. Superb setting seamlessly clean. The staff where lovely, very friendly. Will definitely stay again.
