The hotel is still a work in progress with some construction ongoing but it did not disturb or detract from the stay. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Although there is no internet one of the staff shared use of her hub (that was really nice). The manager was also very friendly and helpful, even took us on a tour of the town. The room was large and spacious and the a/c worked well.

Finfood Lodge is a very peaceful place right on the Gambia River. I spent four nights there and had a wonderful time. The hosts are very accommodating and gave me a very warm welcome and also picked me up. The small lodge is still partly under construction and with your visit you are helping to support and optimize a small family business :)

Lovely place, located directly at the river (I recommend going for a swim) with excellent service. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and the food was great. Very quiet and peaceful place, but close to Janjanbureh for activities (we went on a great kanoeing tour) The room was nice with a big comfortable bed and the luxury of air conditioning. Be aware that a lot of places in the Gambia run on solar power, so the electricity (and with it the a/c) can shut off during the night. We travelled at the end of the rainy season, so much less likely during the sunnier tourist season. It is not the fault of the lodge, but just sth that has to be expected and didn't bother us. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.
