We loved our stay at Acteon! The location is LITERALLY right in front of the port, which for us was a plus. There are a variety of restaurants downstairs, along with all the options for excursions and rentals. We got an upgrade for our room and it was perfect because we have a nice balcony that faces the port and we can watch the sunset. The host was great with showing us the hotel and being available in case we had any questions! Even for it being on the port, we didn't think it was loud. We were comfortable the whole time and no specific noise really bothered us, but we know this varies per person so just keep the location in mind!

Very clean very well kept and comfortable. The owners did everything to make sure we had a great experience. It was less than 5 minutes to the port and to many restaurants and bakery. You can walk up to the main town in 15 minutes or take the bus from the port for an easy ride to the town or some of the wonderful beaches to go swimming. The pool also was very clean and we used it almost every day

plenty of bars and eating places, lots of shops selling different items. easy to get round chora but you can get lost but easy to find your way out locals are very helpful. restaurants visited in Ios around port Octopus Tree mainly fish the garlic prawns are exceptional; also prawn saganaki Enigma traditional Greek food lamb baked in pot amazing pork chop huge! Greek salad Tasaki home made bread. local rose wine very nice. Gyros place excellent various types of cheap!!! Tropicana bar good cocktails and have English football on big screen. Some lovely beaches we hired a car for a week £360 euros. Nice bakery selling pastries cakes ice cream at the port

Ios is a beautiful island.
Ios is a beautiful island. The beaches, the food, the people, the buildings, the scenery, the nightlife, the chill factor but most of all the overall vibe is the best of any of the Greek islands I have visited and I can’t wait to go back there. The boat trip taking you to the 6 beaches is amazing with snorkelling thrown in. The square and its bars is a must. Sunsets in various location are stunning and the local traditional restaurants provide amazing food at reasonable prices

Awesome property with fantastic view. Very modern design and everything has been done with high quality. Property and the private swimming pool are cleaned thoroughly in a daily basis. Hosts and people working at the property are very friendly and always eager to help!!!

October was a very out of season time to visit Ios, most bars, restaurants and shops were closed so there was not much to do in the main town. The buses had stopped doing all routes apart from 3 stops.

Chora is the only one village on the whole island, very pitoresc and full of small streets with lot of shops, bars and restaurants. There are a number of beaches on the Island, worth to visit and very good accessible by car. best of all for sure the Koumbara Bay with the perfect sunbeds and great service, not cheap but worth each penny!

Beautiful island. Lovely streets in the village. All uphill and the stairs were deadly. Feel sorry for the people having to carry their suitcases up them. Amazing restaurants, great pubs, friendly people. Just amazing!

The owners are always present, working, eager to talk, advise, listen. Amazing breakfast with an ocean view. No wonder guests return annually or even more often. Strong A/C and wifi. Cotton bedding.
