The Cycladic-style Angelos Rooms is centrally located in Agios Georgios of Irakleia, just 328 feet from the sandy beach. The house is located in the middle of the town which is 5 mins away walking from the port. They pick you up and drop you off to port on request. The room itself is beautiful and comfy along with its own balcony. You can have food in the snake bar/restaurant next door all the time. This island is perfect for people who want some quiet time away from mass tourism and parties. A beach right next to the port which is super clean and Livadi beach is only 15 mins walk (you could take a bus too $1.80 each way pp). A few restaurants around the property only few meters away (supermarket only 20 meters away!). Nice people, great food, quiet and couple/family friendly. Highly recommend this place for a Greek holiday.

Located in the seaside village Agios Georgios, Maistrali is only 328 feet from a sandy beach. It offers air-conditioned accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The views from our room were very good, overlooking the port. We had booked a studio, but on arrival we were given a spacious apartment, possibly due to not many visitors during covid-19. Nice beach and various tavernas to choose from.

Located in Irakleia, Villa Meltemi features a garden. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. There's a grill and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. Located on a hill, VM offers some breathtaking panoramic views on +5 islands. The host Fanis is very attuned to his guests' needs and resourceful to find solutions (adjusting to dietary needs, bringing a cooking tool, giving special tips for excursions...). The breakfast is prepared with a lot of care and is excellent. The room spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed a boat trip organized by Fanis with a local fisherman and his wife Maria (another multi-talent and brilliant guide) bringing us to otherwise inaccessible beaches. It was not a fancy party boat tour like offered on more touristic islands. The boat tour felt authentic, relaxed and peaceful and we learned a lot about the island, his inhabitants and culture thanks to Maria. VM is a special place. Thank you Fanis for the Experience! Good to know: the road to VM is quite steep. Good legs to walk up/down. Alternatively you can once a while get a car ride from Fanis, or rent a ATV (great fun on the few, almost empty roads of Iraklia, and useful to reach the other/top village).
It is a great place for walking and there are marked trails on the island . The bus comes onto Iraklia in July and August so if you don't have a car you have to walk. There are two shops on Iraklia and a choice of a few tavernas. It is a quiet island in June and if you want to visit the interior of the cave ask for Fanis at Meltemi. Also buy a map to show the trails and beaches.

Everything was awesome. As soon as we arrived on the island our host drove us to the guesthouse, pointing out points of interest along the way. The room was really clean and had a great big balcony with an amazing view of a beach that can be reached in 10 minutes by foot. The breakfasts were really amazing. They were different each day and brought to the balcony. Everything was home made and really delicious, we were full for the whole day!

The accommodation fits in with the general ambience of the village of being a large extended family ,unpretentious and bit of the typical old Greece. Nothing fancy and if you love an Island full of simplicity and true Greek life without the curio shops and fake Taverna's this is the place for you.Angelos Rooms location is perfect to enjoy this in a quiet no frills setting.
The location was stunning - well worth the walk up the hill for the views. We also had one of our favourite meals in Greece at the restaurant for dinner along with great breakfasts. We were welcomed at the port and dropped back for our departure and the staff were so friendly. Definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful island and this is a perfect place to stay.
Very comfortable, modern room with balcony overlooking the sea and port. Hotel is well situated with easy walks to the port (5 minutes) or Livadi beach (15 minutes). Superb cooked breakfast every morning with an excellent menu to choose from. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
