Hotel Machalas is a large complex of apartments. It is located in Kipoi village which is in central Zagori. The complex’s traditional architecture is based on wood and hand-hewn stone. We loved the house and it's design. The breakfast was great. The hosts are warm and pleasant people. Wifi was great.
Bagia Exclusive is offering accommodations in Kipoi. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. The hotel has a garden and has a terrace. Good service, good location for visiting the area, calm and comfy, good food, good cocktails and 🍷
Kipi Suites is located in Kipi village in Zagori, overlooking the river of Baya and Mitsikeli mountain. The guest house combines the local traditional architecture with modern design interiors. The location. The fact that it was small and cosy. The staff was very helpful friendly and polite.
The family-run Tritoxo Guest house features a tavern with fireplace and offers year-round accommodations in traditional rooms. Heartwarming host! Perfect place to escape from the heat at the cost or cities! You sleep in a traditional almost 200 years old house with an incredible scenic view. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner very much!
Featuring garden views, Zagori Villas provides accommodations with a garden and a balcony, around 2.7 miles from Lazaridis Folklore Museum. The location was excellent and unique, we loved sitting on the terrace and in the cosy and unique living room. Lazarus gave us advice on some wonderful drives and hikes, all of which we did and enjoyed very much, including to Beloi view point which was spectacular (and we are 72 years old). The bridges in the local villages are close by and very interesting. Parking is adjacent and very easy. Thankyou Lazarus..
Guestshouse Dilofo is an authentic Zagori mansion converted into a hotel. Originally built back in 1663, it now features a bar and a traditional restaurant with fireplace. I have never been in a hotel I liked better!!! The village is cute and interesting, the hotel beautiful and breakfast truly delicious. Try the orange pie!!!
Gaia Guest house is located in the well-preserved Dilofo, in central Zagori, 20 mi away from Ioannina. It offers traditional rooms with stone-built walls, wooden floors, fireplaces and carpets. My favorite place to stay in Greece! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable beds and the nicest host you will meet! Great value for your money, I highly recommend!
So much history, special features to see and spectacular scenery. Lots of curvy roads which take longer but give the best views. Vikos Gorge and the stone forest were very special. Two and a half days not long enough.
If you haven’t been to the Zagorochoria you are missing the best part of Greece & Kipoi is a great base from which to explore them. Beautiful heritage protected villages & the breathtaking gorges & peaks of the Pindus ranges, the many shades of green covering the mountains.. all just magic.
Kipoi is a village with nice place to live such as Kipoi suites which is a great mixtures if Greek tradition and modern style. Moreover, the restaurants provide authentic Greek cuisine while the owners are quite friendly and willing to provide you whatever information you need about the Zagori
Great location with stunning views. Kipoi is small but perfect for a relaxing break if you enjoy being surrounded by nature. Beautiful areas to visit by car or plenty of walks from kipoi. Stayed for 5 days at Kipi Suites and would definitely go back. Hired a car to visit the Meteora monestries and Papigo. Long but enjoyable drives along winding roads and well worth it. There are two restaurants in Kipoi but we drove about 15km to the motorway to eat at a diner and stock up at the supermarket.
We liked Kipi as a basis for exploring the Zagorohoria region. There are some walks from the village but best to have your own transport. There are a couple of places to eat - Stou Michali is a lovely taverna that we really enjoyed with a good range of food. Margarites is the other eating option - more of an upmarket restaurant (and more expensive), note - closed on Sunday. Also, be aware there are no shops in Kipi.
Lovely little village in an excellent location. Zagoria is a large area but Kipoi is approximately in the center making the landmarks and all the lovely villages within no more than one hour drive. There are walking trails nearby - don't miss the ancient bridges! We dined every night at the local Taverna that offers traditional Greek food. The local specialty is a wonderful fried cheese and spinach pie.
