Big hotel which do not feel big or crowded even in the main season is the strongest side.
Even non-deluxe rooms are nice, spacy, comfortable and very clean.
We had smaller pool 5m from the door and bar just little further, nice. Never felt crowded.
Beach is short walk and nice but sea is not extremely clean there, some sea grass were common.
Food is nice variety, but some is different every day. Always good.
Smy Kos Beach & Splash features a fitness center, a garden and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Mastihari.

- food was tasty and there was good choice with at least two-three sea food choice every lunch and dinner. Also, the working hours of restaurants are awesome, basically you can never be hungry. The best thing is the restaurant at the beach/by the pool which is working 12:30-17:00 for the lunch. While searching for accomodations, I read some feedbacks from last year for Smy Hotel, about not enough food choice, I wouldn't agree with that. Food was awesome!
- the staff, from the cleaning ladies to the animators and reception staff, were all so kind and nice, give these people a raise or a bonus! :) They were especially nice to our baby. They made our stay fenomenal. Especially thanks to the Marvin the animator, you are awesome!
- there were just enough activities to keep us entertained from early morning yoga, stretching, beach volleyball, aqua aerobics.. and in the evening Greek night, Cuban night, Music quiz, Fire show... And every night we enjoyed the Mini Disco at 20:30 with our baby. Unfortunately she is still too young for the activities during the day which were held by the animator team.
- For people with kids this is really good vacation place. And there were lots of families with kids with whom we exchanged couple of words each day, this was nice. Also the place is totally accessible for baby strollers.
- lots of palm trees in the area, sandy beach with blue and turquoise sea, infinity pool.. we stayed here in September, so it wasn't overcrowded, we always had a place at beach or by the pool, and the beach beds at our disposal. The whole complex really looks nice, also everything mentioned was very clean
- on the day of the check out, the hotel arranged a taxi for us, and let us store our suitcases at the reception, also we could use everything in hotel until we left for airport, so we stayed for lunch and by the pool until 14:00 even dough check out was at 11:00
Thanks guys!

We found Mastichari to be a very pleasant place to spend a relaxing week and we would certainly like to return there. It's such a short transfer from the airport but so peaceful and charming. We spent most of our time on the beach by Mastichari village where we used the sunbeds at one of the restaurants (free if you buy a drink). It was also nice to walk along the wilder stretch of beach and stop for a swim.
In the evening there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the beach area and also by the harbour.
We went by ferry to Kalymnos one day from the harbour at Mastichari.
We were there towards the end of September and there were plenty of people around but enough space for everyone on the beach and in the restaurants.
Definitely a place to return to!

A very friendly , clean and pretty seaside village with it’s own small harbour for fishing boats, ferries and day trippers
The Village is very clean with pedestrian walkways throughout the village leading to all the small tourist shops and tavernas.
Many tavernas are beachfront with a lovely chilled vibe . No loud music or competition between taverna owners just a good mix of cuisine from rustic Greek to modern .
Choice of travel agencies offering car hire and day trips to local attractions over the island at very reasonable prices.
No shortage of sunbeds or places to eat. Small supermarkets and one larger one that cater for all your self catering needs.
Perfect place for couples of all ages and famalies

The hotel provided us activities and entertainment everyday for all kind of families, younger kids or teenagers, couples or just friends. My kids (20 and 17) enjoyed the 2 different pools, one was calm for adult the other one was busy for kids and families. There was a short walk to Mastichari village with plenty of bars and restaurants, and cash machine if you need it.

A pleasant seaside village but with more and more 'all -inclusive resorts' encroaching all the time. The locals still offer traditional shops and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.
The port offers regular ferries to Pothia on Kalymnos, so if you fancy a change of island it's easily done.

Proper Greek village, not just a holiday place.
Proper Greek village, not just a holiday place. Quiet but with plenty of restaurants and bars, mostly overlooking the sea. Huge sandy beach which is never crowded. Half Time pool bar on the edge of the village is great if you want a change from the beach, or watch some sport. Good size pool. Great place for a relaxing holiday with very friendly people.

Nice, small village, quiet, with shops, markets with fresh goods, restaurants and cafes. It is great to sit and drink frape while looking at the sea :) You´ll find a typical greek cuisine as well as the "european" one here. As it is a small place, it is very easy to get around. Sometimes due to the northern winds the beach can be pretty windy, there are buses to the south or a car rental. The best place for a trip to Kalymnos island. Mastichari is for the greek lovers :)

We traveled solo with my friend and booked 5 nights in this hotel. The best decision we could have made, since everything was perfect and for an amazing price. Delicious food, nice staff, everything clean, nice rooms, great selection of coctails, beautiful beach for long walks, quick car rent within a few steps just like a bus stop. We walked around every morning and visited even the hotels nearby, you can basically do anything:)
The gym is small but it was enough for a short period of time.
It is a brandnew hotel that is very tastefully decorated and in keeping with the natural surroundings. There is a great energy to the hotel and every space is inviting and comfortable. The swim-up suites are definitely great, but even the other rooms are nice and the pool loungers (around main pool) are out of this world. You don’t even need any shoes to wall through the dunes to the beach. The welcome by the charming owner was very warm indeed.
Lovely hotel, clean with great layout of swimming pools and its own beach with lounge chairs. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, beautiful landscaping all around hotel. Kids club and playground handy for kids. The food selection and quality in the restaurant were excellent, too. Our family really enjoyed the stay.
Lovely studio apartment, located right on the beach. The lady who looked after the apartments couldn’t do enough for us, and it was excellent value for money. Supermarket and bakery 5 minute walk away. Frequent buses to Kos town.
Uncomplicated car rental at the hotel (35€). Owner was very friendly and helpful. Room was ready even before the official check-in time. Near beaches and port. Bus to Kos city at Poseidon statue 10 minutes away at the port.
