Good A/C ... AA+++ Location. Nice check-in young lady. GREAT breakfast server, very nice cook to order breakfast. Great hot water. Good WiFi. Nice and clean room. VERY, VERY enjoyable stay even with the entire city having a power failure, Great property.
There are a more things to see Labin than other hilltop towns, take it slow and easy and enjoy the day. Taste the local drinks and food, each place to eat has a specialty. The cake in the cafe is way above average. There is a guitar player that needs someone to listen to him, consider paying him to play for a while, everyone wins!
Labin 'Old Town' is un-spoilt medieval hilltop village with some lovely and very reasonably priced restaurants. Centrally located on the east coast, ideal for exploring Istria but own transport is required. Thankfully not commercialised, unlike West coast. Only negative where the Mosquitos!!
Beautiful old town with narrow Italian style streets. Definitely more attractive than the overrated Pula. The town has a market (also with seafood) Lidl, Spar, and other local large stores. To visit the old town, it's best to leave your car at the cemetery south of the old part of the Labin.
City with all necessary resources. Good restaurants, interesting sites (historical castle with beautiful panorama, stone garden). Ideally located - with quite acceptable prices. Main road 66 gives easy connection to north and south with an unforgetable panorama.
Old town +++ (charming medieval town on a hill with beautiful view to sea and mountains... there are stairs and paving stone roads everywhere, we liked that, but it might be difficult for wheelchairs or heavy buggies) Restaurants + (there are only a few... in one restaurant we didn't feel very welcome, waiters were unfriendly and made us wait very long without any reason. But we truly recommend velo kafe) Shops +++ (there are only a few, but with real handcrafts and croatian products and luckily no junk) Nature ++ (there are some very nice foodpaths to rabac, but the signs should be renewed) Labin is no party town, but for those who seek nature and quiet it is perfect! Young or old, doesn't matter.
Beautiful Old Town. Every Tuesday there is a free tour of the Old Town. The central place is an excellent Velo Cafe and restaurant. In lower part of the town called Podlabin I recommend a market place with domestic profducts, wine, cheese, trufless and fish.
Our Hosts were very nice and friendly. They helped us to find the house easily and we recieved welcome drink after our arrival. The woman brough us hand made cakes in one morning and grape in another one. She and her husband always smile and had a good sentence for us. They were helpful respectively. The accommodation was very well equipped, extremly tidy and nett. Thanks a lot!
