Hotel Villa Dvor, rebuilt on the place of the old Villa Dvor above Omiš, on the stony slope of the Mountains of Mosor and the Omiš Dinara, by the River Cetina, is only 12 mi far away from Split. the staff is super nice and helpful. the view from the hotel is amazing on both sides:) it's so quiet you can sleep like a baby (great location + 99% of the guests were above 60 so no partying happened). jacuzzi on the top terrace was amazing! large balcony was also a great place to relax. wifi worked great!

I liked the town centre, the coastline and riverside. I found climbing up to Fortica (Stari grad Omiš) challenging and dangerous. The view from Mirabella Fortress (Peovica) is spectacular. Evening meals at Restaurant Bastion were always mouth-watering and the catering staff provided exceptional service despite being very busy all the time. It’s easy to discover Omiš on foot.
Omis was a lovely place, but felt really busy with all the traffic, there was a constant run of traffic right through the centre of town. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops and right by the river. The best bit is being close to all the activities like white water rafting, rock climbing and zip lines. The beaches where ok but not my favourite in croatia. Worth a 2-3 night stay to do the activities and see the town at night but wouldent stay longer
Omis is a wonderful place to spend holidays. It's landscape is impressive, with huge rocky mountains spilling into the emerald Cetina river. It's fortresses and beautiful light stone buildings steeped in history. With lots of activities to do, we did the zip wire over the Cetina river which was an amazing experience, and we rented a boat to sail down the river. We stayed in Borak which is high up on one of the mountains with spectacular views onto the Adriatic, the island of Brac and Omis itself. We found some traditional restaurants serving wholesome delicious Mediterranean food such as Konoba Palacio, in closeby Naklice. And some very nice pebbly beaches, we went to Brzet, and the sand beach in Omis centre, which is a bit more crowded. Having a car is useful because you can explore all the way to Makarska or in the opposite direction to Split, Trogir and Sibenik, which are also gorgeous places to visit. Highly recommend Omis for a relaxing, invigorating and fun holiday, a delight for the eyes and soul!!
The town is very nice you have everything you need in a 3-4min walk (supermarket, restaurants, sandy beach, old town, rafting, zip-line, fortress, bar and so on). Negative: You will need to search for a parking spot (don't forget to pay for the parking zone). We did find a lot of broken glass at the beach.
Cosier place than Makarska, better beaches than in Split (with exception of Kasjuni). Better to stay outside the town. Brzet beach is more lively, but iot was not overly crowed. We stayed in Nemira, which is 25-30 minutes swift walk from Omis. Clean beaches, godd for kids. Given the prices it is better to brin gyour own stuff of make a larger shopping in a mall near Split (like Lidl..). Its getting expensive so its better to cook you own food (there is a fish market in Omis in the city center so you can tast the local fishes). Lots of rent a boat opportunities. Traveling by car to anf rom Omis only in early morning or late evening... otherwise the streets are jammed. We thought ideally to stay there between 7-24 June.
This beautiful city attracts lots of families with children, mainly Croats or from nearby countries. Busy during peak season, but enough infrastructure to absorb the crowd. Prices are fair considering it's in Dalmatia area. Remember to always have cash available as many restaurants don't accept card payment and they will not make it clear unless you ask. Would definetely return to Omiš to stay a bit longer than 4 nights.
Omiš
The apartment has an excellent location, in the center of Omis, in the old town, right under the Mirabela fortress. Everything is on your doorstep: restaurants, shops, bakery... The beach is about 5 minutes walk. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The bathroom is very nicely renovated. Be aware that the apartment is in a pedestrian zone, so you will need to leave your car in a car park situated about 300 m from the apartment. (You receive a parking card so you can park for free.)

We spend the weekend in the apartment and would certainly recommend it. The property seemed brand new and was beautify decorated. The location was perfect for us, it was a walking distance to the town, the town beach and the zipline centre (the Omis zipline was the absolute highlight of the trip). The stunning view of the mountains was an added bonus! The property was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Marijana was an amazing host, she showed us around the apartment and gave us great recommendations.
We enjoyed every moment we've spent there. Facilities are excellent, with a lovely view and endless swimming pool makes it even more attractive for the families with children. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The location is rather close to several secluded braces, bigger local beach and within the reasonable drive to Omiš, Split, Makarska and other tourist locations. On the other hand the local beaches are not as crowded as other in bigger cities. Thanks for a wonderful vacations!
We absolutely loved this stay!! this is a three generation, family run hotel that is full of charm from the window in the elevator looking out over the gorge as you ride, to the hot tub on the roof where you can enjoy the stars. Ante, at the front desk, helped us with planning our hiking and making sure we had a lift from where our hike ended. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking!! We loved this place!!!!!!

The rooms were very clean. The location of the rooms is right in the center of Omis, walking distance from the main sights. There is also a beach in the vicinity, as well as the entrance to the canyon. The parking arrangements were a bit confusing at the beginning, but all worked fine ( you are supposed to leave your car in a payed parking lot and then the host will give you a monthly pass that you can use to leave the parking without having to pay).
Omiš
the apartment is very close to Omis old center, the touristic area with the restaurants and everything. 5 mins to the sandy beach, 10 mins to Brzet beach which we preffer. it js very clean and equipped with everything you need, including dishwasher and AC. The hosts Tanja and Matea were incredibly kind and helpful, greeted us with some treats and provided useful info when we asked. We highly recommend it if you want a fair price apartment in Omis.

Great apartment with stunning sea view. Very good location just few steps from the beach. Sylvia, our host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Always there for us, whatever we needed. Thank you Sylvia, you've made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed every minute. This was our first holiday in Croatia, and we will definitely be back.
It was one of the best experiences in my life. Wonderful hotel with super friendly stuff. They've tried to help all the time. The place is beautiful. There are beaches near the hotel and very good restaurants outside. As well as the hotel's one. Not cheap, but definitely worth! I will visit Nestos with a big pleasure in some time.
The location and beach is a gem, at least when it's not that crowded. A picturesque bay with small pebbles and crystal clear water. You can even have a long walk along the shoreline towards Omis since all the small beaches are connected. The apartment is old and tired but adequate for the price, I guess, except for the beds and the sofa.
