Beautiful Hotel with beautiful views and communal spaces. Staff in all areas were really helpful and very friendly. Kids club entertainer was excellent with our 3 and 6 year old. Great breakfast options. Loved the healthy options for meals too. Loved our stay here.

Great friendly hotel with a warm atmosphere. Nothing was to much trouble. Located 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. Great spacious rooms, modern and very clean, the atmosphere is relaxed. Fantastic staff, friendly, kind and professional. Food is superb, high quality with local ingredients. The swimming pool with amazing views is perfect for cooling down while sunbathing on the terrace. Definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Villa Cascada for a lovely stay.

One of the best bookings I was on. Peter - the host was super nice to us, the room was really clean and new, parking was near. I really recommend Villa Joy for a couple! Also, the Podgora and the whole Makarska Riviera is in my opinion the most beautiful part of Croatia.

Location was great, directly at the beach front on the main street and with restaurants and shops right next door. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids with a nice balcony with seaview. Big plus for very well working air condition which was well needed in the heat.

Podgora is in my opinion much more pleasant for stay than Makarska, as it is easier (and cheaper) to find accommodation in the "first row to the sea" and close to the beach. Also it's a quieter, more relaxed place than Makarska

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday centered around a brilliant hotel and a beach, this is a place for you. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars on the promenade, some with live music. Those looking for clubbing all night - avoid. This is not the location for you, and you will look seriously out of place lying pissed after yet another drinking session with pals.

We have been to Podgora 5 times now, and we always really love it there. We are going there, as we would go home. It feels really great when we arrive, the smell of the sea, and the smell of the pine trees. The best restaurants were Portobello Bar and Riva. We ate like 4 times at Portobello, we had our best italian food ever, even better than in Italy.

Podgora is a good sized resort on the Makarska Riviera. Its perfect for families, kids, or couples. The main promenade along the beach has a big variety of cafes, restaurants, pizzerias, and its a nice walk overlooking the beach . Very scenic to have coffee or meals next to the sea. On the promenade theres a Studenac supermarket, post office, shoe shop, a pharmacy, and a few beach stuff shops. Theres also a fruit market with fresh produce like peaches, and watermelon. Our favourite spot for coffee or a drink was Banana Bar, which most nights had live music (we really liked two guys on guitars playing ballads like Eric Clapton, Pink Flloyd etc) , and they would also add tables right on the beach at night which was a nice setting. Best food we ate was 2 Monkeys, everything on the menu was good. They also have outdoor garden massage place in the back which looked very tranquil. If you fancy a bit of night life you can head to nearby Makarska which is a bigger beach town and quite lively. Podgora has loads of boat trip offers to near by islands , and some water sports like parasailing. Overall very nice Croatian resort

Great location. Still nice weather in September.. Was around 25 degrees but feel like 30 . Sea was hot and we were swimming till 6pm without feeling cold or any problems. Area really nice, nice people, friendly, happy to help . Easy to travel around

Podgora is a bigger place at the Croatian coast near to Makarska. There are many restaurants and bars where you can eat and drink whatever you like. Many bars have so called happy hours, often twice a day. Sea food is very good but all kinds of other food, especially pizza's are available. Podgora is a typical coast place with large numbers of appartments and some hotels. Streets are narrow, which makes it difficult for cars to get around. By foot you can get around anywhere. It is interesting to visit the monument from the Second World War, The Broken Wing of a Seagull, which represents the loss of liberty. There is also a nice factory where olive oil is produced and sold.

From $98 per nightWe rented two apartments and both were beautiful and modern, spotlessly clean, and as we had a longer term stay full cleaning was maintained once per week. Communication was excellent and the hosts were truly wonderful people, gifting us with many a local food specialty. We had an issue with AC during a heatwave week and the hosts worked very hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible. A short walk down the hill to the hub of the action on the port of Podgora. Highly recommended.

Communication with the stuff was established immediately after booking, and continued all throughout the stay. We came early and our friendly host Natalia greeted us at the apartment and allowed us to park our car until apartment was cleaned and ready for us. She provided us with password for WiFi and power adopters for our phones! Apartment was very nice and clean and close to the beach. Includes the kitchenette placed on front porch entrance.

Great location with a beautiful view from the terrace. Beaches (which are beautiful and not overcrowded) and the center of Podgora are just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment looks pretty old, but it has its vintage (Mediterranean) charm. We had everything that we needed.
