Fully renovated in 2016, Vila Marija is a small family-run guest house in the old town of Skradin, at the entrance to the Krka National Park in central Dalmatia, offering you nice rooms and tasty... It was a very nice little hotel. Marija was really sweet and accommodating. The location is optimal.
Located right by River Krka and the yacht marine in Skradin, Villa Barbara offers air-conditioned apartments with balcony, LCD satellite TV and free WiFi. The apartment is beautifully decorated and extremely spacious. We had use of the hot tub both nights as no one else seemed to be using it! The little village of Skradin is lovely and there was a playground close by which our little one took full advantage of! We also easily jumped on a boat to get to Krka National Park - Fantastic place!

A small town at entrance to Krka National Park, very well supplied with restaurants, cafes & bars, as well as historic sites. Also marina, inked by ria to the sea. Great when we visited in October; we imagine that it might be rather over-packed in summer.
Skradin is a perfect location if you want to explore Krka national Park. It is a small village but provides all the amenities you could need for a nice stay. The people in the area are lovely and there is plenty of choice of restaurants, a few bars and shops. If you are looking for a relaxing break with an opportunity to go walking, hiking, biking or visiting the waterfalls this locations is great. You can access the National Park via the boat, bike or by car very easily and prices for everything are very fair. We visited in September and the weather was beautiful, a colleague who is Croatian advised me June and September are the best months to go if you want to avoid the summer crowds and still have great weather and we were not disappointed.
Skradin is one of the most beautiful and charming little towns on the Adriatic coast. The nature is stunning, and there are plenty of things to do and see. Also the food is amazing, we ate (again) at Konoba Dalmatino, which is a fantastic place.
Skradin, a small, but bustling town just on the entrance to National Park Krka is amazing visit if you want to step away from too busy and overcrowded coastal towns and cities. Relax, the way it's supposed to be, wake up with the rooster, hear the nature, enjoy fresh air and beautiful views. Very close to A1 highway and everything else you might need (Sibenik is 10 minute drive).
We enjoyed walking, up to the fort, around this small town , around the Marina seeing the surrounding nature. The beach had small stones. Even on the hottest days in mid August the water is really cold. Beware of expensive restaurants around the Marina. There are others with excellant food and drink. It is easy to walk around. We would come back here again, and try a different place to stay but the Visovac restaurant is very good.
Skip Plitvicke lakes and take (more) time for Skradin and the more northern part of the Krka National Park! Less crowded, much better experience and it is sooo beautiful! Swimming close to the Skradin waterfall either early in the morning or late afternoon. We took the boat from Skradin after 16h. It’s not only cheaper but also less crowded. We could get on the boat without waiting time. Skradin has good restaurants and service and atmosphere are great. We tried Skala and Evala. Boat trip to the catholic monastery and visit of the orthodox monastery also recommended. Would have loved to do more hiking and/or biking in this area.
