Located in Ston in the Dubrovačko-Neretvanska županija region with Walls of Ston nearby, Apartments Marita has accommodations with free private parking. Everything was perfect! Cozy, spotless clean, quiet, great host, lovely garden, walking distance from the center, free parking
Located in Ston, 164 feet from Walls of Ston, Rooms Sorgo Palace features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was clean and well decorated with a private toilet and excellent hot water. The location is in Ston, and we walked from the car through a few small streets to get to the hotel. The hotel provides a parking voucher for the lot on the main road. Easy. The staff is fantastic and friendly. They gave us helpful information about nearby wineries, and about walking the Ston wall. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel, Sargo, is excellent with fresh oysters, great seafood dishes. And of course dessert. Breakfast was also great.
Apartments Villa Sol offers pet-friendly accommodations in Ston. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. In the center of the village, close to bars and restaurants. Owner was friendly and helpful. Everything appeared to be newly remodeled
Apartment Mare is a self-catering property located in Ston near Walls of Ston. This beachfront property has a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were greeted, and looked after, by our hosts. The family is very friendly and very helpful, with a great knowledge of Ston and the surrounding area. The apartment is 1km from Ston and in a nice quiet country surrounding, which suited us perfectly. You can drive to Ston within 5 minutes, or 15 minutes walking if you prefer. The apartment is very clean, very modern, and you will feel right at home. It is perfect for a small group, or family. I cannot speak highly enough of the apartment and our hosts. We will definitely look to book the apartment again. To our hosts, thank you for providing us a nice place for our holiday, and looking after us in the nicest possible way :)
Apartments More & Ja has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ston, 2 miles from Walls of Ston. Best kept secret in the adriatic ;) This was a pure gem. The owner was wonderful, the apartment is perfect, very clean and enjoyable. The sea is just a few short steps away from your bed. For us it was a routine we did... a morning swim, coffee and a book on the beach until lunch time, than a siesta nap and repeat in the afternoon. Pure reset. The restaurant close by has fresh fish and other sea "creatures" that are caught near by and a nice pebble beach that your kids will enjoy if you feel the desire to move away from this paradise that you allready have here. Very recomended and very hard to come by. A precious place indeed.
Located in Ston, 1.7 miles from Walls of Ston, Apartments Ivanka provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The room had a little terrace, which turned out to be great for having dinner at night. If possible, arrive with time to enjoy the pool in the evening-night (we had a little swim at night, watching the stars). The area is really calm. If you are looking for a nightclub-type of place, it’s not the best unless you have a car to drive to the nearest city, but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, it’s just perfect. Also, SUPER CLEAN!
We enjoyed Ston's must-see medieval walls and the renowned saltworks, a wide variety of restaurants and convenience stores. Moreover, Ston is a great hub for one-day trips to explore Dubrovnik, Mostar (Bosnia-Herzegovina), the islands of Mljet (with a great national park by the same name) and Korcula (Marco Polo's birthplace), and of course, the Peljesac peninsula, famous for great vineyards, wineries, and wines. And don't forget to feast on the mussels that are locally farmed in the nearby bays and coves.
I enjoyed this piece of Croatian culture. The oysters, Ston walls and village we stayed in were great experiences. Most annoying was the parking meter that took a ridiculous amount of our money and gave us no change. It was even more upsetting when the police officers sitting at the bar adjacent to our parking lot just laughed at the event.
Beautiful room. Very clean. Staff was friendly. Food was awesome. Breakfast was included in our room price and they made us whatever we wanted the next morning for breakfast. Wall of Ston very close. Definitely a great place to stay!
Eat in Mali ston... A bit more expensive but worth it! There was a definite difference in the oysters in ston vs Mali ston, It is a 10-15 min walk between the two so you can compare . We walked the wall, you need good shoes! Do the wall first thing in the morning or an 1.5 before it closes to avoid crowding. The wall is very narrow and step, it is uncomfortable trying to pass others coming the opposite direction. We prefer going up on the ston side, ending in Mali Ston, some suggest just the opposite however we liked getting the steep stairs over with at the beginning .
We spent two nights here but I would recommend one night with a morning to walk the wall and visit Ston and Mali Ston is enough. Ston is a nice small town but nothing special to keep you there any longer than walking the wall. In Mali Ston we ate at Kapetanova Kuca (Captains House) restaurant which had been recommended to us - nice food but shocking service, rude waiters and when the bill came they tried to charge us for an appetiser that we hadn't ordered but they had given to us. They gave me the money back when I complained but honestly I felt very disappointed that it even got to that stage.
Ston, a nice old village in a valley between hills, less than 1 hour from Dubrovnik, is famous for oysters. So, if you like sea food, eat in Ston and also in Mali Ston next to it. (tiny Restaurant Stagnum: best oyster soup, it was wonderful! and excellent oysters or other sea food // restaurant Kapetanova kuca in Mali Ston: sea food in general!) Prices for fish astonishingly reasonable (or even cheap). Ston also has the longest "wall" in Europe looking like the Great Chinese wall. There are little beaches not far away, the water in Croatia is extremely clean with turquoise color. Good apartment to stay: Vlasic. Definitely worth a stop-over between Split and Dubrovnik!

The place is not far from Ston, in a little bay where you can see the mussels and oyster cultivation. A quiet place, a lot of parking. Complete relax. The owners are pleasant, they live at the ground level of the building. They offered us wine and grapes when we arrived. The apartment has everything, a pleasant terrace protected by sun, where we relaxed. Air conditioning is good. Cleanliness perfect.

It felt like home away from home. We felt trusted with all the furnishings and contents of a special personal holiday home. Wonderful welcome from our hosts. Easy walk through the village down to the beach and a fantastic restaurant right on the water. Very convenient for walking the wall from Ston to Mali Ston and back. I’d definitely stay here again!

Fani was a lovely host, we enjoyed the time we spent with her. There were some good laughs. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. A kitchen separated from the bedroom if one person was sleeping. A lovely outdoor seating area. Clean and comfortable. Really comfortable mattresd. We hated to leave. Mali Ston is a fun base for the penninsula.
