Great hotel. There is silence around, you can sleep with the door to the balcony open. A varied breakfast, a functional SPA center. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. Convenient parking. You can also take half board - the dinners are delicious. We were with the dog - a couch and a bowl were prepared in the room for the dog.

I really liked everything: everything is fancy and new, spa working hours are super - till 22-30! Breakfast till 12-30!!! Super cool! Also u can easily find ur private space in spa, in the garden, in the restaurant. The gym is super cool. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely town, with a great holiday feel to it.

Such a lovely town, with a great holiday feel to it. Easy to navigate by foot, train, bus or bicycle. The surrounding towns are also lovely for day trips. The promenade next to the water in the evenings is really lovely to walk along as well.

Great family destination. Very kid friendly.

Great family destination. Very kid friendly. The town was walkable with lots of restaurants and places to check out. Having a car is ideal to explore further but there is also public transport from what we saw. Highly recommend renting bikes to get around too as it is extremely bike friendly.

Balatonfüred is a beautiful town with a lovely promenade.

Balatonfüred is a beautiful town with a lovely promenade. There are plenty of shops to explore, and the restaurants were generally better than those in most other towns around the lake. At no point did we feel overcharged or taken advantage of. While the prices are fairly high, they are still reasonable for what you get. The beaches are clean and well maintained, and it's easy to take a trip to Tihany, which is a true gem and definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere.

Beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere. Definitely worth driving to Tihany to enjoy the breathtaking view over Lake Balaton from the top. The small local shops with lavender products, paprika, and handmade souvenirs are absolutely charming very authentic and beautiful. Balatonfüred itself is full of nice bars, restaurants, and lovely walking areas along the lake. Special thanks to Karolina Café amazing location right on the promenade, great atmosphere, delicious pastries and breakfasts, excellent drinks, and truly top service. Janosh, thank you for making our stay even better 😊

Balatonfured is a great spot for families with children.

Balatonfured is a great spot for families with children. There are many water activities / boat trips to nearby resorts etc.... As a couple, we were interested in exploring the wines of the region and were fortunate to arrive during a time when all the major wine producers of the surrounding area had stalls on the promenade of Balatonfured along the lake as well as local food. It is easy to get to Balatonfured from Budapest by train and once, there, to get around on foot. Many people cycle though.

I found service in Balatonfüred uneven.

I found service in Balatonfüred uneven. The low point was restaurant Il Lago at the lakefront: despite looking inviting, the service felt dismissive and the prices were high for what we received. If you don't speak Hungarian, expect German to be the main language while English is less widely used.

The owner was very nice, explained everything and show us around. Very comfortable apartment, renovated and really clean. Cool design from the PRL era. There is everything you need from kitchen utensils to toilet paper. You can sit comfortably on the balcony, have breakfast and admire the view of the lake. Quiet area, closed parking. Close to the penny store. A bit of a walk to the beach (because of the hotels and resorts) but you can also drive there and park nearby. Thank you for great stay :)

The fully renovated historical building offers large spacious rooms, and the location is perfect for walking into Balatonfured, to the new strand, the shops, and bars. The hotel is in a peaceful location, yet 5 minutes walk into the town. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they really make this place stand out. Also loved the spa, the breakfast and the plenty of chilled infused water on offer in the hotel. That was a nice touch. Underground parking was very handy too.

Veldig nice place at the top of Balatonfured. Views were amazing and you could see all the way to Tihany. We had the apartment with two bedrooms. Spacious, well equipped and super clean and modern. The pool is great and not crowded at all (which is great because the beaches are). Two days we pretty much had it for ourselves. The host and owner - Csilla was just amazing! Very kind and helpful. We often stay in the Balaton because of family and will be back for sure!

Very well isolated rooms, even with parties nearby the room was silent. Amazing facilities, wine tasting and dinner with sommelier. Great selection of wines and pools, massage and saunas both inside and outside. 5 minutes walk away from the best beach of Balatonfüred. Staff extremely professional - even the student workers clearly raised the bar.
