Located a 15-minute drive from Lake Batur, Lakeview Hotel and Restaurant offers free parking facilities. All rooms come with a balcony overlooking the lake. Amazing location and wonderful staff. They arranged hiking and transportation with quality people, yet at a good price. Very helpful, good language skills, and cheerful.
Located in Kintamani, 1.9 miles from Lake Batur and 11 miles from Kintamani, Villa Jempana provides a restaurant. Complimentary WiFi is featured. We love to travel and have stayed at hundreds of locations in over 30 countries. This is one of the very best small properties we have ever experienced. Villa Jempana is run by a wonderful family who made us feel like cherished guests and attended to our every need during our stay. The meals were cooked on demand and we could choose to eat in their restaurant, or by the lovely infinity pool overlooking Lake Batur, or even in the room (if we wanted extra privacy). We ate outside as much as possible since the weather was lovely and we had a (very messy) 10-month old baby with us. Our favorite was Indonesian breakfast of noodles with fried egg on top, accompanied by the fruit plate and freshly squeezed mango juice. We stayed in the Deluxe Villa, which was well-appointed and quite large. There was Wi-Fi on the property; download speed was great, but upload speed was slow. However, we were on vacation, so we hardly even noticed, except during one FaceTime session. There was a TV with satellite, but we never even turned it on because the view was so beautiful. So relax and unplug! Ary, the nephew of the owner, picked us up at the airport. He arrived early and was waiting with a large sign when we exited the airport. The villa owner, Mr. Kadek, arranged a private volcano trekking guide for us, then drove us to the nearby hot springs and came to pick us up in the evening. During our couple's massage, Ayu (the owner's niece) happily played with our "Baby Montana". When it was time to leave, Mr. Kadek personally drove us down to Ubud, stopping on the way for a coffee tasting as we requested. We hope to someday return to Bali and stay longer at Villa Jempana!
Featuring a garden and views of garden, Bintang House is located in Kintamani, 10 miles from Kintamani. The property has a shared kitchen, valet parking and luggage storage for guests. Hostess was above and beyond at everything she did for us. Very kind and caring and even went as far as driving us to different places around town. The last night of our stay she had a huge fish bbq and we enjoyed the meal with her family; a great authentic way to end our last night there. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others!
Featuring a garden, bar and views of pool, Bunbulan Hill Hostel is located in Kintamani, 3 miles from Lake Batur. One of the best thing at the hostel was the tour what they provided, onestly guys, it's the best tour in Bali. When we get to the top of the mountain, our group was on the very top of it, and no one else was there, only 9 or ten people. On the other side was like 500 people, not kidding, you can't even take a normal picture. It was awesome. Thank you Krishna There's nothing there what you don't like, everything is so beautiful and quiet. The owner Krishna and the workers are very helpful and funny. We talked with Krishna next to few beers for hours, it was the best trip ever.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and garden, as well as a restaurant, Batur Volcano Guesthouse is located in Kintamani. Both private parking and free WiFi are available at the guesthouse. this is an experience to do in Bali at all. The staff is amazing, the thermal water pool is wonderfull. The view is great. I also tryed the typical fish of the lake and had great talk on Balinese culture with the hosts.

We LOVE the black lava hostel. Beautiful cabins and private rooms. The restaurant is very good. The coffee is grown on the property and is very good. I do not recommend hiking Mount Batur. The crowds are excessive. They allow motor bikes on the narrow hiking trail filled with tight switchback turns. The dirt bikes offer to ride peopetto about 3/4 of the way up the mountain for people who are too lazy to hike. This made the hike absolutely unbearable. We just came from ubud which is filled with traffic and so many food smells. I wanted to relax and detox in the mountain. Instead I was forced to suck exhaust as we were vigorously climbing a 1710 meter mountain. The crowds of people are loud and it is basically a. Mom stop single file stream of people headed up for sunrise. The Mount Batur trio is heavily promoted all over the island. I would not do this again. I might go back to soak in the hotsprings. I learned later that there is a more challenging trail up that does not support motorized dirt bikes. If I were to do it again, I also WOULD NOT use a guide. There are droves of people all going to the same locationn. We did not need to pay $700,000 rubia or around $50 for a guide. The breakfast was not good. White bag bread with bananas or eggs. I would also locate the more challenging trail with. No motor bikes. Although the noise of them will disrupt the hike anyway. Also people were flying drones at the top. Not a peaceful and relaxing sunrise experience.
Would recommend staying for 2 nights. There is not much to do in Kintamani and any day trips you want to do from there would probabaly be easier organized from Ubud. 2 nights is perfect because you can enjoy hotspring and relax after early 3am wake up for Mt. Batur hike
I was a nice place but there js too much old building on there. I have a Question for kintamani Why the building on there not finish and many sqare build? For volcano I think you have to prepare your homestay kind like (bed, tv, bathroom) for the garden and garage You can make it bigger than now because it's hard to bring the car into the garage Thx
Nice quiet place compared to most Bali towns. Good for a few day stay as there are only a few attractions (Mt. Batur, nearby temple, nearby cemetery) and it's not the best place to just hang out - no beaches, can't swim in lake.
I loved the walk up the Volcano! It is a hard trek though. Be prepared that you will be doing it in a crowd of people. We climbed it 20 years ago and there was about 20 of us at the top. This time there was about 400!!!
Great place to see Balinese pure natur, trip to Batur volcano was awsome. Pleasant hot spring. Though I recomend the are for short trip than for long stay (2 whole days are fine) Roads are quite difficult. Lake batur is difficult to access

The property location was astounding with views over Lake Batur & surrounding Mount Batur. The sun rises pretty quickly & we watched on our balcony through a slight morning chill- it’s more cooler this part of Bali. The restaurant caters for large groups- so this was ideal for schools- it had a “youth hostel” type of feel, so was great value for money. The breakfast was good enough with fruit, toast pancakes & local cuisine. A great base to explore the area & trek.

This hotel was our “oasis in the middle of nowhere”! We are so lucky that we found such a beautiful place, after long day of exploring north Bali :) Andre and Jules welcomed us as their own guests and helped us to decide any problems! Incredibly friendly atmosphere, nice room decor, tasty breakfast, everything is clean and beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel to better understand what a nice people live in Bali!

We are a family of 3 that happen to find Black Lava hostel last minute on our trip to Kitamani. It was a very good experience overall. Cool place to base off for trekking or even just a overnight stay. We enjoyed so much that we are talking about coming back the next time to Bali. Kudos to Yon and the team for such a memorable experience. You guys are great! Thumbs up!

It is 4 villas camp (pool is under contraction). Great place, near the road to a volcano. Good staff, they made everything for us, to have a good vacation (50k dinner, welcome drink). This hotel is located in the field and it is new so don’t be afraid of the road to the hotel (because it is awful but our 4x2 Toyota Avanza did it). Good view from the villa.

Super friendly host. Even though I accidently booked the wrong night was still able to stay. Sheets smell amazing and the bed is very comfortable, best sleep in bali. It was a bit colder than the rest of bali in this location so ac is not needed here. Breakfast was delicious and hot and delivered straight to out patio.

Very good view of the lake and mountains, very good location for Volcano hiking and hot spring. The staff is good, thanks to all Kadek:) especially the one who drive us to the corner of Bali these days. The breakfast is very good for both western style and Balinese one. The room style is very Bali I like the bed best.

Really nice decorative room, beautiful walls and doors and the balcony was big with a great view over the volcanos and mountain. Also a big bathroom but the best part is the staff, the best staff I met in Bali and I stayed at over 30 hotels in Bali.

Room is nice and modern. The view is fantastic. Not many choices of modern-designed room hotels in Kintamani, this hotel is quite good compared to others in the same area and compared to the room rate.

The location was great. its 10-15 minutes walk to official port which brought us to Trunyan cemetery. Morning view during breakfast was Batur Lake. Its better to rent car or motorcycle to go to other places. The weather was great! The restaurant provides some selection of meals and breakfast, although it close at 8 pm. But you always can shop nearby before it gets dark.

The owner was very friendly and helped us during our stay. The temperature during the night was so cold and we asked for more blankets. The owner brought extra blanket in the next minute for us.
