Located on the rice terraces of Sidemen Valley, Samanvaya offers a peaceful getaway an hour’s drive from Ubud. Each bungalow offers a private balcony with stunning views of rice terraces and hills. The property is beautiful ! I’ve rarely seen such a great and calm place. The staff was very nice and the restaurant awesome ! Our deepest regret is to have spent only one night there. Definitely a must if visiting in the region.
Located 5 minutes’ walk from Kikian River, Patal Kikian Sidemen features an outdoor swimming pool set amid the gardens. The view is relaxing and breath-taking, much better than I expected. The staff is very-very kind, the room is nice and the outside bathroom is cool and fun. You can not make mistake with your decision if you choose this villa. :) This was my favorite in Bali :)
Wapa di Ume Sidemen - CHSE Certified has a restaurant, free bikes, an outdoor swimming pool and fitness center in Sidemen. Among the various facilities are a bar, a garden, as well as a terrace. The best resort in sidemen with an amazing view. Staff are well trained and friendly. They use no plastics at all which is a challenging in running such resort. Wapa restaurant is excellent and the best in the village so far.
Surrounded by rice fields, Abian Ayu Villa offers a tranquil getaway with stunning views of Mount Agung. Guests can have a relaxing dip in the outdoor pool overlooking the rice terraces. This is a hidden gem. Gorgeous views, refreshing natural spring water pool and comfortable beds. Would struggle to find better views of the rice terrace with mt agung in the distance in Sideman. Highly recomended.
Surrounded by lush green rice fields and mountains, Sawah Indah Villa features an outdoor pool, restaurant and charming rooms with stunning views of the surrounding greenery. Amazing location. Traditional, authentic Balinese furnishings, design and planted gardens
Surrounded by lush greeneries, Griya Valud offers accommodations with free WiFi. Set in Sidemen in the Bali region, the accommodations has an on-site restaurant. We were transported to a magical place. From the lush vegetation and garden to the lotus pond with gold fishes and infinity pool to the wooden bungalows over water and fishes again, it was just beautiful. It has a sort of old school local charm to it. The bungalow was spotless, and I loved the jacuzzi tub. Pak Made, the manager and the chef, took care of us from the start. Anything we asked about or for, whether directions or questions about the area or things we needed, he was ready to assist with a big smile. The food was delicious. Since it’s all prepared in the moment we did have to order a few hours in advance so they can have it ready. I had the chicken sate and even though I wasn’t that hungry, I devoured it, it was so tasteful. My friend had the Sate Lilit and she had the same reaction. The breakfast comes with the room and it was substantial. You choose from coffee/tea, and a juice and from several dishes that include a veggie omelette that was so good. The compound is simple and lush, peaceful and comfortable and I would love to come back here.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Darmada Eco Resort is located in Sidemen. This lovely and homey accommodations also offers an on-site restaurant and free on-site parking for guests who drive. The property is so beautiful! It overlooks the river, is so tastefully decorated, there are plenty of activities for all age groups available, the food is excellent and staff is amazing. Great breakfast options with wonderful coffee. Their 3 dogs Patta, Pino and Lucy are so adorable and friendly. It feels like home and is such a gorgeous getaway in the lap of nature. I am so happy to have stayed here and will certainly return soon! Thank you, everyone!

It's a good choice for having a meditation retreat and connect with yourself. I visited Yellowbridge Yeh Unda, Yeh Unda Hulu Dam, and Jagasatru Waterfall. I had nice lunch at Darmada Eco Resort, a restaurant nearby the river. The weather was nice and a bit cooly compare to the city, of course. It's nice to just drive around or have nature walks because the Surrounding is still full of rice fields and greenies.
Beautiful natural area You can feel the local life up close. It is a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle that (We) the travelers make focusing on one place. It really is a good base point to discover the area and the surroundings.
If you want to have a quiet and serene atmosphere, I would highly recommend this is villa. It is situated nearby the hills and the view is very nice from the room or the pool area. The hosts are very helpful, warmth and friendly. Gusti, the owner is very knowledgeable of the local culture and is always very happy to share.
Sidemen is a very calm, relaxing place with huge rice fields and amazing scenery. There are only a couple restaurants, 1-2 spas and some nice coffee places. Best restaurant we found is The Bukit Artha. Their tuna in banana leaf was amazing and hospitality is excellent. Tracking is the top activity to do in Sidemen. On foot/by bike you will find amazing sceneries. Sidemen has a huge potential to become the new Ubud. Would be an excellent location for spiritual and yoga retreats.
Better than I thought it would be. The village was still not full of tourists, that is super nice because you can still get to enjoy Sidemen in a quiet and tranquil experience. a lot of options for what you can do with the outdoor activities and so you can choose either to stay in your hotel and relax or go outside and explore, both are good choices.
Sidemen offers one of the best view of Mount Agung and the rice terraces. Extremely peaceful and calm, if you want to experience the real conuntry side of Bali, this is the place to be. You can rent a motorbike here or go on some very beautiful hiking trails. Klung Klung is the nearest city so it's not like it's cut off. You can reach Sanur in an hour or also go to Blue Lagoon beach which is very beautiful. Recommend for a long stay!
The resort sits high on a hillside and the rooms look down the beautiful and peaceful valley and at night the lights of far away Nusa Dua can be seen across the distant bay. The staff are extremely attentive. Sylvie and Joel are so welcoming and ready to make excellent suggestions and offers to maximize every minute of your stay. I loved the breakfasts. This was our second stay and we have already made plans to return this year. The Surya Shanti Villa resort is our favourite hideaway in the beautiful Sidemen region.
Good value hotel in a beautiful setting among the vegetable terraces with views of Mt Agung in quiet green scenic Sideman. Friendly English speaking staff and features a good sized clean pool in a lovely well kept garden and a freshly prepared breakfast. Currently one of the few places still open in this area during the pandemic. Can organise walking and scooter tours of the neighbourhood and onward transport. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed my stay at Sawah Indah Villa for 3 day trip working remote for Drishti Journeys which exceeded my expectations. Beautiful and quiet room overlooking the rice fields and surrounding mountains, strong WiFi and all necessary amenities including infinity pool. Delicious breakfast, either American or Balinese, included in the room rate. Friendly staff with strong command of English language. Recommended!
It's a great place to relax. Beautiful view. Very peaceful and lovely staff. Dinner in the restaurant is great. We had a lunch at a warung uphill on the right. Just 3 minutes walk. Highly recommend staying here. Do the 2 hours walk through the rice fields with the guide. He's very friendly and you see how locals live. Also recommend the Balinese massage at the hotel.
- Komang and his family was so welcoming and sweet. We enjoyed every minute! - the beds were super comfortable and had a mosquitonet - the bathroom was very spacious and clean - we were able to book tours directly with Komang and his brother (http://sidementourandtrekking.com). The tour was awesome :) - Breakfast was very delicious
Stayed 3 nights in the sunrise suite. It’s even more stunning than the photos. Everything about this hotel feels five-star. The food, the staff, the plants and distinctly Balinese decoration. Easily walkable into town, it’s in a perfect location if you ever decide to leave.
Friendly host and personal Good breakfast very clean room with big bed it was no A\C necessary in this area nice view Best location in Sidemen for relaxing. It was our favourite place during our whole trip on bali - highly recommended
The best part is that I did a lot of things in that hotel. It's one of the best hotel's in the whole world! I would devenetly visit this hotel again!!! Thank you Maha Neka!!!!!!!
There was a nice view and the pool was good. Hot water and pressure worked well. Large room and terrace with comfotable bed. Strong fan in the room, A/C is not necessary in Sidemen.
Absolutely amazing experience! You will see the power of the nature and feel it’s magic beauty every second. Strongly recommend to stay in this hotel - you will never regret.
It's a very nice place. The view is just breath-taking. Great value for money. They even have an agreement with closeby hotels so you can use their pool which is nice.2
Beautiful accommodation with panoramic view on the rice paddies. Quite area perfect to relax and enjoy Sidemen. Nice breakfast at the nearby warung.
