Location was great in a small town. The owner who greeted us was very accommodating and nice, we loved our conversation about her pictures and family. The room was clean and had everything we needed to clean up. We ate at the pub next door for dinner and a few drinks and walked the town. Breakfast was really good and we enjoyed the experience. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

It was not far from Dingle where room prices were high, her price was very reasonable. It was cosy and comfortable. The hostess was wonderful and kind. We had an issue with our rental car, she offered to take us into town to have dinner. When we declined she made us dinner. It was close to the Kerry Airport, where in the morning took us to the Kerry airport to pick up a replacement rental car. She went above and beyond to help us out, it was awesome.

Warm and welcoming, our hosts were waiting for us after a long day driving the Dingle Peninsula. Hanging in the Living Room with a bottle of wine was a perfect way to end the day. Breakfast in the Atrium was beautiful and so tasty! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Mountain View Cottages V92X961, hotel in Castlemaine

**Review for Mountain Cottage** I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mountain Cottage for two nights, using it as a base to explore the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula and the scenic Ring of Kerry. While the cottage is located just outside the main town of Tralee, I found the location to be absolutely perfect—quiet and serene, with stunning views that made our stay even more enjoyable. The host, although not on-site, was incredibly communicative through the booking engine, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find welcoming treats in the fridge—water, orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea—which added a nice touch to our experience. Inside, the three-bedroom cottage was nicely decorated and thoughtfully remodeled, offering a simple yet cozy atmosphere. The aesthetic was refreshing and made it feel like a home away from home. While the exterior of the property is still a work in progress, don’t let that fool you; the interior truly shines. The only minor downside was that the bed was a bit thin for my liking, but it was still comfortable enough for a good night's sleep after our adventures. Overall, we were glad to have chosen Mountain Cottage and found ourselves wishing we could have stayed a little longer. I highly recommend this lovely spot for anyone looking to explore the stunning natural beauty of the area!

I was happy with the accommodation and the local pub(s). However, please note that this is all in a small hamlet called Boolteens, which is about 3 miles from Castlemaine, so you don't need to visit the latter!

I noticed the host had dried out another family's coats for them (yes, it was raining!). She was very welcoming. The B & B was all you would hope for, and to top it, the restaurant/bar next door was great for food and relaxing in. (And, there's another bar over the road for Sky sports if you want to bet on a horse!) Castlemaine has a statue of The Wild Colonial Boy.

We visited Tralee a few times and we were delighted with the places we ate. We had a lovely meal in both La Scala and Yummy. We also went to Camp, Castlegregory and visited The Maharees. We found our way home through the Connor Pass. The views were breath taking.

I had not realised that breakfast was not automatically part of the stay, so I cannot comment on that. The rooms were large and comfortable. Castlemaine is very conveniently located for access to the Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry and it was an ideal stopping point for us

Ideally located to visit both the Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. We also loved having dinner at their restaurant on both evenings. Their roast turkey ham was simply delicious!
