Breakfast both mornings of our 2 night stay was lovely. Full Irish well cooked, plenty of tea and toast/coffee and cereals etc. Servers were friendly and polite and service was prompt.

It was a great pleasure for us to stay at Michael's farmhouse. The house looks fantastic both inside and out. It's surrounded by peace, quiet, and nature; from the window you can see classic Irish landscapes with sheep grazing on the slopes in the surrounding area. Here you can have a good rest from the hustle and bustle of the city, but if you want to drink a pint of Guinness and listen to live music in the evening, the centre of Clifden is a three-minute drive away.
Our room was clean and spacious, a handy bonus was that we had an en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and made "just like at home". We had the opportunity to tell about our desired breakfast time in advance, as well as our preferences. But a special delight for us was getting to know the owner of the house and his sister, with whom we felt not like Airbnb guests but rather like we were on a vacation at a distant relative's house.
Michael and Patricia, thank you for your kindness and recommendations, which helped us to make some new holiday highlights. Hopefully, auf Wiedersehen! 🙂

Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see.
There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.
A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.
Great character in this beautiful old world style hotel right in the heart of Clifden. Extremely spacious bedrooms with very comfy beds! Fantastic staff from the very welcoming Judy on reception to the lovely friendly restaurant and bar staff. Highly recommend Mullarkeys bar - not your typical hotel bar...brilliant live music (not diddley-aye either... more bluesy, rock n roll, folksy), great atmosphere and popular with locals. The late night French toast (sweet not savoury 😝) was a nice touch!!😁
A true Irish welcome is given to you at this hotel. From the minute we checked in till we left we received absolutely wonderful service. Everyone was so helpful and the food and the room was lovely. The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.
The property is good. Plenty of parking. The property has a lift. The rooms are basic but clean and are a decent size. You can walk into town in about 10-15 minutes. There was no breakfast provided however you can go to a Hotel in the town and for €10 pp you get a really good breakfast as part of the deal they offer. Overall the property met our expectations
Great location, plenty of room in the two room apartment with balcony. The most reasonably priced of its kind in the town as some are extortionate now. Would really recommend as we are very familiar with Clifden and the area so this place was ideal.
Our second visit to 4 Clifden Court. Excellent property with all you need for a lovely holiday. It's actually a duplex townhouse overlooking a lovely quiet courtyard. The property is kept spotlessly clean.
