O'Donovan's Hotel is a 250-year-old Family Run Hotel set in Clonakilty Town Center. All rooms come with a TV and free WiFi. You will find a kettle in the room. My stay at the fine hotel was amazing. The lady and gent at reception were outstanding, they were totally customer-focused. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. Breakfast was well prepared and the service was second to none. I will book again on my return to Clonakilty. Keep up the great work.

In the heart of Clonakilty, this luxury hotel has a leisure center with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. With a modern restaurant and bar, the beautiful coastline is just 10 minutes away by car. We liked that hotel has many amenities for kids. They loved swimming pool and jungle gym, kids camp and cinema. We loved that it is close to the beach, only short drive from the hotel. City centre is not too far away either.

Located a 15-minute walk from Inchydoney, Joan B+B provides accommodations with a shared lounge, a garden and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. The most helpful and friendly host, is the only way to describe Joan. She even changed our bedding at late notice at 9.30 pm, so we could swap rooms. Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants. Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing. You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.
Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops. Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore! One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.
When booking again I would ring actual hotel for booking. That way you can be sure u get what u want There is no vegan breakfast in the Clonakilty Hotel. Not acceptable. There should be availability of choice for everyone.
Plenty of places to eat if you could get a booking. Book early in the day for evening meal. Convenient to beach and Baltimore for Island trips is about 40 minutes away, Clonakilty has plenty of shops and is easy to walk around. Liked the Model railway village in the town.
Clonakilty is a lovely place the hard working staff in Clonakilty hotel ann and Maeve so nice and helpful made the stay even better, smugglers cove great fun day out, rumleys farm lovely really worth going there, michael.collins tour very detailed with Tim crowley as guide
We really enjoyed the whole trip. With an 18 year old and 11 year old accompanying us, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to keep them both happy. Thankfully, there is so much to do, it wasn't a problem. Make sure to book activities well in advance of your trip as they book out quickly. From kayaking, water sports, cray golf, there is no shortage of things to do. Clonakilty operates on a one way system so driving around took a little time to get used to. There are plenty places to eat ( especially sea food ) which was great. Can't wait to return
The staff and owners were welcoming and friendly from our arrival. The hotel is located on a lovely square, yet only 5 minutes walk to the main street. All areas are nicely decorated. The room was comfortable and the terrace/garden area very pleasant to eat/drink in. The bar area at night was relaxing. In these Covid times, it was one of our best hotel experiences while staff still adhering to all necessary guidelines. We would recommend this hotel as a good base to explore Clonakilty and the beautiful surrounding West Cork region.
Clonakilty
The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was finished to a really high standard and it felt luxurious. The heated pool and terrace made it feel like we were abroad when the sun was out - it's a real sun trap! We loved the gardens too. We liked that the property was close to Clonakilty and it was a great base to explore west Cork from. It felt like a little haven a few minutes away from the bustle of the town. Gerard and Anne were wonderful hosts and we are already looking forward to getting back to Ardnavaha!

Denis (who ran the restaurant and bar) was outstanding: he even got up very early to open the breakfast room and provide food and drink to us and other guests who needed breakfast at 6:30 in the morning. He was also very helpful with local information. Location was central to the town, so everything was walkable. Parking (on the street) was nearby.

Quaint and well run B+B. Stayed here for a wedding at dunmore house hotel. We were greeted and shown around and breakfast the next day was great.
