The Emmet is a boutique hotel located on a Georgian Square in the heart of Clonakilty, surrounded by the beaches and coast of the Wild Atlantic Way. We loved the size and comfort of the room. The nespresso machine and abundance of coffee pods was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and a fan and fat sheet were provided thanks to the hot days. The staff were so kind and helpful.

Set in a Georgian property, once home to poetess Mary Jane Irwin, An Sugan is a family-run guest house and seafood restaurant. Beautifully decorated room with great character. Located in Clonakilty, just 3.3 miles from Lisellen Estates, Melrose B&B provides accommodations with a garden, a terrace, barbecue facilities and free WiFi. Breakfast at the Melrose was delicious. There was a wide variety of hot foods made to order along with the usual cold breakfast. It was offered according to your schedule and in a very friendly manner. The room and breakfast were very good, but Noel and his family and staff were exceptional. They were so helpful and friendly in answering queries about sites, directions, even genealogy. They truly can't do enough to make your stay perfect.

Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!
Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.
Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants. Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing. You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.
Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops. Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore! One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.
When booking again I would ring actual hotel for booking. That way you can be sure u get what u want There is no vegan breakfast in the Clonakilty Hotel. Not acceptable. There should be availability of choice for everyone.
Plenty of places to eat if you could get a booking. Book early in the day for evening meal. Convenient to beach and Baltimore for Island trips is about 40 minutes away, Clonakilty has plenty of shops and is easy to walk around. Liked the Model railway village in the town.
Clonakilty
This really is an absolutely stunning place, we were thrilled when we arrived and saw the property, to be honest probably to a higher standard finish cleanliness and quality than the 5star hotel we had just stayed in. It really was so comfortable and our only regret is that we didn’t have it booked for longer. The owner was super helpful and accommodating and I will most certainly be recommending to family and friends. We found Clonakilty a fantastic base for exploring and found amazing beaches nearby. A really really great few days away
Rooms were great, it was for my daughters birthday, she did expect the Savoy! the beds were very comfortable and having two rooms was perfect. Breakfast was extra, but was excellent, with nice service. Used the swimming pool which was a bit cold, but it was very cold weather. Good proximity from the town. Good stay. Used the cinema the next day.

Quirky, comfortable, stylish accommodation in a lovely setting! I found my stay very relaxing, very easy. And all within a stone's throw of beautiful Clonakilty, an amazing, bustling town - one of many jewels in West Cork.
