The Royal Marine overlooks Dublin Bay and provides direct access to Dun Laoghaire Promenade and Pier. It gyd a health club, spa, indoor pool and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. I liked the Hotel’s offer to upgrade me to a Presidential suite as a gesture in response to an issue I had with a sink.
Rochestown Lodge Hotel and Leisure center is a 3-star hotel located in Dun Laoghaire, just a short distance from Dublin City Center and has easy access to the M50 motorway. Lots of very attentive staff. No waiting to order. All staff clearly well trained and customer service is excellent.
Overlooking Dublin Bay, Haddington House offers rooms with private bathrooms in Dun Laoghaire’s town center, just off the main street. Free, limited parking is available onsite. Room was large clean with a nice bathroom. Location is central to Dunlaoire and the Pier is available from the front door. There's free parking!!
Located in Dun Laoghaire in the Dublin County region, Monkstown Private House Homestay has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. The bed and breakfast provides a sun terrace. The host - warm, positive, always ready to help. Colette, my host, even offered me to freely use the washing machine, food to prepare myself breakfast... The location - in a lovely and quiet street/neighbourhood, close to bus stops, IADT, a 10 minute walk from the sea... The accommodation - clean, everything provided (clean towels, a pitcher with freshwater refilled would wait for me in the room...)
Located in Dun Laoghaire, Mulgrave Lodge offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge and a garden. The staff were really welcoming and let you get on with your own holiday as there was no curfew which was great The room was tidy and the check in times were great
Located in Dalkey, 1.1 miles from Whiterock Beach and 1.1 miles from Sandycove Beach, Coliemore Acommodation Dalkey provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a restaurant and a bar. There is no meal plan at the Coliemore Accommodation. Room only but spotless too. Right in Dalkey village but lots of places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cannot recommend enough how impressed I was with the accomodation, very very clean indeed. Would recommend to everyone.
Really beautiful place, very clean and quiet. Lots of kayaking and SUP available and I highly recommend the paddle boarding place on West pier. Also West pier has parking at €4 for 24 hours. Great shops, small kids amusements at the sea front. I hear there's a beach but I didn't have time. Lots of restaurants and a maritime museum. Dart train into Dublin or Bray run regularly and about €5 return.
Dun Laoghaire is the town that time forgot. It has lost all life and character from years ago. The shopping centres are empty, so many shops have closed down and the town has no atmosphere despite the scenic location. Same with the pubs/restaurants. We couldn’t wait to get home!
We love walking at the Pier! There are lots of place to eat around so you will never go hungry in Dun Laoghaire. There are shops if you wanna go shopping. There are essential shops like super value and Centra .
It’s a beautiful town lots of shops and places to go especially the sea front yes the is a lovely wee cafe across from golden discs and yes it has a beautiful breakfast and other foods you can eat . If you like shoes there is a classic shop across from pennies and again around the corner is the shopping centre . By bus they all go to center of Dublin in less than a hour .The fast dart service is close by and it’s a lovely ride to Connolly station where again it’s a beautiful old station and from there get the train to Belfast and see where the Titanic was built .
Dunlaoire sea front was very busy .Lovely art gallery next to the library .Lovely walks .Good cafe in the peoples park. Shopping centre was empty Surprised at the lack of shops when it is such a diverse community .
Beautiful town with plenty of places of interest. Maritime Museum, Marina, Harbour and nearby Sandy Cove beach. A wee bit hilly for pushing a buggy around but otherwise fantastic! Plenty of shopping too.
Amazing place, it gives you a totally different feeling of Dublin than the hotels in the centre of the city. The sea is beautiful and the surroundings are calm and nice. The only disturbance is by the train track that is close to the hotel, but it is a minor thing. The staff are kind and the food, especially breakfast, is a wonderful experience. The interior is gorgeous. I recommend a walk to the pier and the ice cream they sell there.
The owners are very kind, they also run a restaurant nearby. The breakfast is delicious and the house is clean and full of historic charm. Finally, Claremont House Is located in a lovely position, near the sea and Dun Laoghaire. Also, it is only 20-30 minutes by train from Dublin. I recommend it!
The staff were helpful and efficient . The hotel was a very imposing building and was well equipped , we especially appreciated the health club. We liked the surroundings and had a lovely walk by the seaside. Shops were also handy if you needed anything. Getting into Dublin was easy by car .
location is far enough for the busyness for Dublin. But a 30 minute to an hour drive depending on traffic.
good location- 30 min from downtown Dublin. Bed was very comfortable!
