Gorgeous beaches loved that you could walk along the cliffs safely and easily for a 1.5 mile walk each direction right from town. Town looks a bit in disrepair at times. Our accommodation was great with wonderful service including the restaurant below it. Parking was easy.

The beach is gorgeous, as are the cliff walks and views. Restaurants were fine. Unfortunately we couldn't find any postcards, couldn't rent any bicycles (nearest bike hire was miles away), and the 'tourist office ' was not only shut down but in a very sad state of disrepair. Also, no one seemed to know where Charlotte Bronte honeymooned!! We found it easily though (there's a plaque).

Staying at the Sycamore Lodge only added to our road trip of the west coast of Ireland. The hosts were/are so friendly and have a passion for ensuring we had a comfortable and welcoming stay. John oversees that guests are made to feel welcome and valued and took great care and attention to enhance our stay. Breakfast was fabulous and a feast for the eyes offering a great selection to set us up for the next leg of our tour. We would have no hesitation in returning to Sycamore Lodge.

Colette was very warm and welcoming. Our accommodation was easy to find and clean on arrival. The children were delighted to see the farm animals and there was a trampoline, swing and lots to occupy them. We would definitely visit again.
