This was a beautiful hotel and the room accommodations fit our family of 3 perfectly. You couldn't beat the location... it was off the hustle and bustle of the city, but extremely close to shopping and restaurants. The parking was a bit of a walk with our luggage, but it was manageable. The town is lovely and were pleasantly surprised with a 4th of July celebration in the town that held a parade and live music. It was fantastic

A tree-lined lane leads to Muckross Abbey, a former Franciscan monastery whose cloisters enclose a tall yew tree. Celtic crosses line the cemetery and beyond is the lake, at the centre of which is a tree-lined outcrop, home of the historic Ross Castle. This 15th-century stone fortress once housed the O’Donoghue clan, one of whom reportedly lives at the bottom of the lough.

Killarney is a bustling town with plenty of facilities for tourists. Lots of good pubs and restaurants and many had Irish singers/bands in the evenings. Centrally placed to get out and about in the Ring of Kerry and beyond. Amazing scenery, historical sites, mountains and lakes as well as museums and galleries. Definitely something to please everyone.

My recommendation is to stay about 3 nights.
My recommendation is to stay about 3 nights. Do the Ring of Kerry on Day 1 (it's a long day of driving on winding narrow roads. We had poor weather and fog which is beyond anyone's control, but we still enjoyed it, especially at the end when the sun came out to reveal a spectacular view of the valley). Then on Day two, take a day trip to the Dingle Peninsula. Make sure to go see the Muckross Estate nearby Killarney.

Killarney is really a place for tourists but the one thing I noticed was a lot of the restaurants closed at around 21.00 Hrs in the evenings. I thought they might stay open to about 22.00 Hrs at least. I would recommend Quinlan's Fish and Chip, Sea Food Bar on the main street. I really enjoyed the food. Freshly cut chips and Fresh Cod in a beautiful tasting batter. (Again it Closes at 21.00) Did the ring of Kerry Tour and enjoyed it (Costs About €50) and enjoyed the stop offs, especially at the Kells Sheepdog trials display. It lasted about 30 minutes and I really enjoyed it. (Costs €8)

Killarney is beautiful and very walkable.
Killarney is beautiful and very walkable. We loved the adorable town and quick access to the Ring of Kerry and related attractions . Unfortunately the day we scheduled ourselves to see it, we had bad weather. We instead went to Dingle Peninsula where the weather cleared and had a lovely day. Dingle peninsula is not that far away.

Killarney is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The scenery is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. A holiday I will always remember and want to return. Very relaxing place to holiday
Staff is amazing and I think that is what really makes the difference between a 5 star and a 4 star hotel. We stayed 1 night just after the reopening in June and everything seemed under control, we never felt rushed, and although the hotel was fully booked, we never felt like there was too many people there. We cannot say the same for other 4 star hotels in the area that we found quite chaotic in comparison...! Beautiful spa (probably one of the best in Ireland), very talented chefs in the restaurant. We will come back for sure!
This hotel offers a good experience with its cleanliness and friendly staff. Situated in a fantastic location, it provides stunning views outside and is just off the Ring of Kerry road and only a short 10-minute drive from Killarney town centre. The property is well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. And they have comfortable beds.
A real classy feel about this hotel. Located a few minutes walk from the town centre, great place to stay - would highly recommend.
Staff are excellent, front desk and bar/restaurant. great breakfast choices, and evening meals were delicious (so much so that, unusually, we ate in the hotel every night)
Beautiful hotel in a very central location. Walking distance to town centre. Attended a wedding here. Beautiful food and excellent cocktails. Good irish breakfast. Luxurious feel to the rooms, very comfortable bed.
Nice stay in a hotel at the edge of Killarney town centre. Nice staff with quick check-in and out process with no issues.
Had meal in restaurant in the evening. Service was quick and food was very nice.
