This family-run guest house is located in fashionable Rathgar, less than 1.9 mi from St Stephen’s Green in the city center. The owners were very helpful, friendly and hospitable. Very nice and comfortable room. Other staff were excellent. A great stay!
The area was wonderful and very welcoming every place that we went. Rathgar is a "must return" spot for us. There were five of us ranging in age from 16 to 83 years of age and we all agree that it was well worth the trip for all.
Rathgar; Terunure; Rathmines....all nice small town feel areas in south Dublin. Easy bus ride into the Centre City should you want to get into Dublin main. But plenty to do and places to eat in these south Dublin towns.
It's a lovely area of Dublin - away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin city - but close to it (about a 15 minute bus trip to the central part of Dublin/Temple bar, etc). The area around Rathgar feels very safe. There are some beautiful period homes and tree-lined streets, together with a small village that meets your daily requirements (eateries/pub/supermarket/chemist, etc). A great area to stay in, and to stroll around. Ardagh House B&B at 1 Highfield Road, Rathgar was a particularly lovely place for me to stay.
Nice weather on the day we spent. Took a nice long walk to The Bank on College Green for dinner. Dinner was great. People watching was fun. Stopped in a vintage guitar store.....if I had a few extra euros!!! Vintage Gibsons, Fenders, Marshalls!!
Not very far away from the city center (45 min of walk or you can take tram which is 10 min walk from the hotel). A quite and calm area. Nice single room with its own bathroom. Additionally there's a big shared kitchen with everything you might need. I think this is one of the best value for the price in Dublin.
Staff was super nice and always available to provide any help/advice! It is fantastic that the hotel is a NON-SMOKING environment. MANY, MANY THANKS for that!
Lovely worker and great service. Will definitely be back when I visit Dublin again.
