The house was a fantastic property, very clean, very comfortable and a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Located in Banagher, Charlotte's Way B&B offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden and a terrace. Charlotte's Way is an atmospheric, comfortable, and altogether lovely bed and breakfast, from my well-appointed bedroom to the roaring fire in the family room. I spent two thoroughly enjoyable days there while I researched some of my ancestors, who in the nineteenth century lived in Banagher at Charlotte's Way (then called Hill House). Nicola was a friendly and well-informed host, and she served the best breakfasts I had during my week in Ireland!
A very small town on a very small river, but if you find yourself there, you could do a lot worse. Luker's Pub has great food and the staff was very willing to accommodate my wife's gluten issues--dinner was excellent! Later, we hit Killeen's--a more traditional Irish pub, and lots of fun. There's a beautifully preserved ancient monastery about 4 miles away that's worth a look--it'll cost you 8 Euros to do so.
