Khatu Haveli is a heritage property built in the 19th century has 3 courtyards and magnificent arches and terraces. The hosts give every guest personal attention. Historic building, very well maintained and nicely decorated. The bathroom wasn't just clean it was ultra-clean. There was nothing to complain at all, and I'm a big complainer. You have to be aware though of the very steep steps in the Haveli, dinner is served on the 3rd floor.

The property is beautiful and adjacent to the Rambaugh Palace! The staff at the Taj SMS are incredible. They are accommodating, welcoming and perfect. The food is excellent. The rooms are exceptionally clean. Our whole stay was special and easy from beginning to end. We cannot say enough about how the Taj SMS and the Rambaugh Palace made our days and evenings in Jaipur even more magical than we could have imagined. We thank the staff - and also the manager and staff at the Verandah Cafe at the Rambaugh Palace for making us feel like visiting Princesses. We cannot wait to stay with them again.
Luxurious 5-star accommodations and service awaits at Trident Jaipur, which features breathtaking views of peaceful Mansagar Lake and the Aravalli Range. Wow! What a spectacular place, only exceeded by the friendly staff and outstanding service. Restaurant was great, both food and service, observed chef coming around stopping at all the tables to discuss dishes and welcoming us. very nice with balcony overlooking the lake and castle. Never write stuff like this, except maybe a short survey checking boxes. Other than the initial problems at arrival explained below, management, including head of housekeeping and head chef, and their staff, were absolutely amazing and extraordinary in insuring our 47th anniversary was a complete success and fantastic experience. When entering the room, the chef made us a small wedding type cake with Happy 47th on it, along with plates of fancy hotel made chocolate. Then, after a superb prepared dinner, was asked to follow them to the lobby, were they had another table set up with yet another large Happy Anniversary cake set up with champagne and flowers. Don't know who was waiting on people in the restaurant, but at least a dozen servers, staff, chef and head of housekeeping, gathered around and all partaking in the celebration and taking pictures of us with them. My wife became so emotional she started to cry, making everyone there start to tear up, including myself. Trying to get them to laugh and lighten things up,, my wife mentioned that it was good she didn't tell them it was also her birthday in 2 days. Well, poor idea, because they then all broke out sang Happy Birthday to her. People in the lobby were all staring and wondering who were these celebrities, but all wished us well. Then they presented my wife with a beautiful pair of earrings and both of us with a special gift of a grain of rice, each with our name engraved on it. I'm having trouble keeping emotions own just writing this. Then, the gift just keeps on giving, The chef and housekeeping head asked to escort us to our room.

People in Jaipur are nicer than in Delhi or Agra (both are too aggressively "hustle" oriented). The city seems to be "right sized" to handle city services, poverty, etc. I especially liked the astronomy/astrology site near the City Palace and the forts outside of town. Wife liked the Pink City and the Wind Palace (mostly a facade). We both liked the Water Palace (view only) on the way to the forts.
April to June is not the right time to visit Jaipur, it is too hot. Visiting City palace is waste as they do not allow inside the palace. They allow you to take some photos at the entrance only, for which they collect Rs. 200 per person + parking fee for the car, which is total waste of time & money. It is worth visiting Janthar Manthar (which is adjacent to City Palace) for Rs.100 + car parking. Wax museum and Glass mahal is not that great for the value of money (Rs.500) + entrance 100 + car park.
Loved visiting the Amber Fort, taking the elephant ride to the entrance, and going through the other historical monuments. The city was larger than I thought and we needed a car to get around. I wish we had went to more bazaars but we had a driver and he did not take us there.
Jaipur is a great place to visit especially if you love to see castles. Great place for street shopping. Better to learn some good bargaining techniques (if you don't bargain). For couples, It's better to hire a two-wheeler on rent and roam around the city. Two-wheeler cost for 5 days= ~Rs. 1600 (with petrol) which is cheaper than hiring a cab.
Jaipur is Jaipur! The Pink City and everything else. Shopping, the culture, the different areas that offer a lot to see and learn about. I love the temples and being among the locals. I really love Jaipur. Definitely a must see place.
It is a well organized an up kept city. We bought a ticket that included sightseeing and Chopra Dahani dinner. The sights were great but I wish we would have asked if anyone spoke English at Chopra Dhani much sooner. Since I don’t like spicy food, we did not get to sit on the floor and eat in traditional style. The international food is in a different restaurant than the native food. We were surprised that it is a resort. We didn’t get to do many activities because we waited in the wrong line and then were confused by the time that was written on our ticket. We ignored the time notation and were seated right away.

Everything. The place is an island of peacefulkness in the middle of hectic Jaipur. The hotel is beautiful spotless and the staff is attendive and very professional. The owners are a friendly couple and the conversations we had contributed to the overall experience. Outside there is a wonderful middle-aged riksha driver Shiam- that I recommend to take as and he will make sure that you will see the best places in Jaipur. We staiyed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.

We stayed at Laxmi Palace for one night after our 10-day Vipassana course and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was beautiful and quaint as well as calm and quiet which is very much needed from the noise of the bustling city. The room was very clean, warm (very much appreciated in December), spacious and comfortable with hot showers. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay again if we return to Jaipur!

Stuff work is excellent. Location is weird, but surely it’s a problem of Jaipur, not the hotel. It’s is central indeed. Definitely not a five stars but probably one of the best choices for its price.
