It is a old bungalow converted to Guesthouse. It has all the facilities and many rooms. Has a small garden and one can go down to the sea if weather permits. It is way from the ring road but a very adorable property. Owners left fresh milk for us, it was delicious.

In Midfjordur, midway between Reykjavik and Akureyri, is Hótel Laugarbakki. Stay close to one of Iceland’s best salmon rivers and the natural hot springs, which heat up the entire community.

First of all the location, placid, truly beachfront! Secondly the amazing bay window sea and beach views. Third the setup of the apartment, clean , modern, new, quality bedding and amenities, homey, cozy. We really appreciated a truly queen size bed at last and not two little singles together plus a very well equipped, modern kitchen. Last but not the least, a great caring owner with two wonderful doggies! (some horses too)

People and place were really nice. Rooms were large and apartment we get (2 rooms booked) had everything to leave there several days as we almost felt 'at home' !

The cottage is appropriate for 4-5 people, more would be an issue, as the cottage is small. Small but very cozy! We found everything what we needed - starting from sheets and towels and ending on any kitchen accessories required to prepare a hot meal. The bathroom is tiny but sufficent. It was clean and quite.
