Very nice location, you can see ocean through room window with mountain in background. It is quit uniq place in small town. There was hot tub available which we used - very clean and what a view. Great.

We stayed in one of the wooden cottages at Stóra-Vatnshorn and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. It was so quiet, with just the sound of a stream behind the cottage, and the view was beautiful. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was a bit cold when we first arrived, but it warmed up quickly once the heating was on. The cottage is accessed by a gravel road. An ideal getaway for peace and quiet.

Booked the place to escape from the heavy wind gusts. It was very clean, cozy and had everything you need to refuel from a long day of riding. Gil and the other two ladies were very friendly and welcoming. Haven't had a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was great. The beds were also very comfy. Will keep this in mind when coming back to explore the fjords.

A really gorgeous cosy place. Authentic and once a real home. It was my favorite guesthouse in Iceland. It has lots of character and not like the new ones.

Beautiful and very cozy accommodation. They even provide bathrobes. The views are fantastic and the comfy armchairs invite to linger. Very quiet and peaceful. We would have liked to have stayed a bit longer to go on walks and explore the valley. Very good restaurant on site where we booked a delicious dinner and had a good breakfast. The staff was very friendly.
