The location is different but wonderful for us; quiet, set in beautiful countryside surrounded by greenery and flowers. The garden restaurant was a delight with excellent food, an informed and obliging Maitre d' and beautiful flowers and grass fields visible through the glass windows and walls. The waiters and waitresses were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The wine cellar containing the history of Italian wine was most interesting. Sitting within the large central courtyard in the mornings and afternoons, sharing a drink in the cool shade was wonderful and for city people a paradise of rest and silence. Walking to the adjoining village and Cathedral was a pleasure.

Our 4 night stay at Agriturismo Cascina Monchiero exceeded our expectations. The hosts were superb making recommendations & booking on our behalf activities, restaurants & places to see. No request was too difficult. Francesca & Eugenio were very knowledgeable about the region & were very kind with their time to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay an experience to remember. The new swimming pool & the large garden terrace were perfect places to relax & soak in the beautiful country surroundings. The breakfast was lovely with choice of cereals, bacon & eggs, fruit & delicious home made tartes & biscuits. We were able to chose exceptional wines for relaxing on the terrace & the hosts didn't mind us bringing some fresh produce to dine on the terrace. One of the highlights of our stay at Bra was the eBike Tour that the hosts organised for us using the brand new bikes from https://www.roeroebike.com/. We also enjoyed the history of the Cascina with incredible story of how the hosts completely rebuilt the property to what it is today over 10 years. The presentation & authenticity of Cascina Monchiero speaks for themselves.

Went to Bra on a hockey trip during August which is when a lot of shops and restaurants are closed so struggled to find authentic cuisine. This is not a tourist town but one of the biggest in the area. You will need a car to see more of this lovely region.

We had a warm welcome with Carlo and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the house, which has a lovely situation on the outskirts of Bra. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. We would like to return in the summer months when the pool is open. In Bra itself we ate in 3 different restaurants and all served us delicious fare.
