Located in Dorgali, 14 miles from Gorroppu Gorge, Hotel Barbagia has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Location is quiet and feels like an agriturismo but close enough to Dorgali and also Cala Gonone. Good AC in the room, excellent restaurant with a beautiful patio area to relax and enjoy the food, we had one of our best meals in Sardegna here! Staff is engaged while seeming almost a bit shy, always very sweet and helpful.

Set between the Omene and Corallinu mountains, Hotel Villa Cedrino is located by Lake Cedrino and the suggestive Rio Flumineddu river. The hotel is as beautiful as the surrounding landscape. Gorgeous hotel with stunning views and infinity pool. Stayed in room with balcony which overlooked it all. Gorgeous food in the restaurant and reasonable priced. Helpful staff. Good range of breakfast. Wonderful stay!

This family-managed hotel is in the countryside outside Dorgali. Rooms have rustic Arte Povera furniture, and feature a patio on the grounds. The restaurant serves traditional Sardinian cuisine. The room was nice and tidy. Nothing fancy, but enough for relaxing. Bathroom seems to be recently renowated. Wonderful hotel with a unique location, the best staff and a restaurant with the best view in the area. Much better to have your dinner in a calm and relaxing atmosphere at this hotel, than in Cala Gonone!

The 3-star Hotel Ispinigoli is on Sardinia’s east coast, a 15-minute drive from the beach at Cala Gonone and 7.5 miles from Orosei. It offers panoramic sea views from its elevated location. The very kind staff made us feel extremely welcome. The bedroom had a terrasse with an astonishing view to the montains, valley and see. The restaurant was fantastic. Wifi was working in the bedroom. The terrasse has a hanging line for wet clothes. We found it perfect for our bikinis.

In a rural location just south of Dorgali, Belvedere Pradonos is 3.5 miles from Cala Gonone beach. It features a peaceful atmosphere, a second-floor terrace and grounds with a playground. Amazing, spacious and clean rooms with balcony and an amazing view. Very friendly, great food. It seams newly renovated.

Fabulous artwork through out by local artists of late 20th century and also 21st. View was stellar. Very good breakfast. Host was very well informed about the area and helpful.

Offering a children's playground and terrace, Agriturismo Canales is located in Dorgali, 20 mi from Fonni. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Perfect trip in Agriturismo Canales. The view from the room is just amazing and the breakfast / dinner are so good (local food with a lot of sardes specialities…). The welcome of the hosts were very warm and we want to thank them for their kindness and their hospitality. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place for a weekend or holidays. And the agriturismo is very well located (close to Cala Gonone, Nuero, Orgosolo, Gorropu…). We can only advice this place or this landscape paradise ! 🙂

This accommodation was just in the right place and time. We enjoyed the surroundings and the nice restaurant we found in the town. The B&B we had was excellent and the trip from Dorgali was so beautiful that we had almost to stop at all the scenery stops. A must take route from Dorgali south the Oriental road.

The location is simply stunning. In addition the way that the buildings have been designed to blend in with the landscape and stunning garden areas makes it a joyful place to stay. The breakfast is superb as was the evening meal. There is a lot to be scene in the vicinity.

Dorgali is quite a small town, with limited places to eat. There is not much to do in Dorgali itself. So a car is essential. There are some good value pizzerias, some bars and a couple of high quality restaurants. We had a memorable meal at Corte Barisone, some excellent food at Merula Cafferia (but were suprised by thge prices which were nearly as high as London here) and we loved our beers, apertifs and burgers at the great value Gallo Nero bar. Dorgali is a good base for walking the Gorroppu Gorge and for visiting Cala Gonogne.

Great town. Good restaurants. Beautiful mountains and hiking opportunities. Historic Nuraghi stone 'buildings' nearby. Beaches and Mountains within 30 minutes of each other...what more could you want!?

I went diving in Cala Gonone which is great because of the caves (but only allowed if you have the required diving certification). Cala Gonone is about 15 min from Dorgali by car. Me and my friend mostly went to Cala Gonone because it also has beautiful coasts and bays. Boat trip is recommended there! Hiking is also said to be good in Dorgali and surrounding areas but we didn‘t do it. We didn‘t spend much time in Dorgali so we can‘t really say a lot about it.

If you have a car and you want to enjoy the mountains and the beach, it's the place to be :) Antonella is a fantastic host and she's taking care of every little detail in her guest house. Our room was a smaller one but we loved it so much - the bed, the bathroom, the balcony! Cleanliness, free parking, fully equiped shared kitchen are other great advantages of Mariposa. We can recommend this accommodation to every hiker/beach lover.

Breakfast was good, a buffet with a nice variety of sweet and savory items (as a kind suggestion I'd say it would be nice to include some local Sardinian cookies or pastries). The hotel is conveniently located near Dorgali and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We appreciated the locally handcrafted details (ceramics and tapestries) to be found in the rooms and restaurant. If this hotel had a pool it would be perfection :)

It is close to Dorgali that has supermarkets and restaurants. Lots of beautiful beaches around, the friendly owners gave us good tips where to go. Kitchen was very well equipped with cookware to cook for a family. Dishwasher and washing machine are great plus! Our kids also liked the cats in the garden.
