Gallipoli is a fantastic small town. the old town is separated from the other part of the town by a bridge .Located on top of a rock the old town with the small castle make a very picturesque place where to take pictures from any corners. surrounded by turquoise colour water. In October the water's temperature is still warm for you to enjoy as well as to get a suntan. Lots of restaurants one better than another , offering fantastic panoramic view when sitting outside . The best way to get around gallipoli is on foot , cycling or a moped . In my opinion the best time to visit Gallipoli and surrounding is September ,october ,June and July . particularly good is October ,still warm ,good weather but very peaceful .
Everything was perfect, right from the initial contact with Vito. The room was fresh, clean and beautifully styled. Loved the terrace where breakfast was served and of course Christina was very special and a wonderful hostess who went that extra mile to look after us.
Gallipoli is quite a big Town and we didn't go into the NEW town. The old town is like many of Puglia's towns and villages, well cared for, old buildings restored lovingly, and given life again both for young and old alike. The town beach is amazing, as it is in the centre of the town and the water is crystal clear. There are a number of marinas with many types of yachts and cruisers of varying sizes. A great stopoff on your tour of Puglia.
The centre is lovely but the city is terribly organised. There is a big parking at the port which is the most convenient but in certain time frames it is impossible to find a spot, nobody there to manage the place and the cars are parked in compete anarchy. In theory the machines for payment accept cards but none of them really do so you can only pay with coins. The parking lots further to the centre are even more expensive. We tried a restaurant which looked nice but the food was really mediocre. The beach was very dirty. I will not go back.
The lovely costal walk, tour of Gallipoli Castle, walk through the back streets and lovely restaurants - great choice of fish restaurants. Easy place to navigate and nearby train station to reach Lecce and Ostuni - my main stay base. Ideally should stay for 2 nights and not one like I did.
The région of Gallipoli could be nice as there are beautiful sceneries and old towns but the whole area is incredibly dirty, garbage all over, on the side of the roads, in towns, everywhere. I had never seen such images in the civilized Europe. It’s such a shame!
Gallipoli
The hotel was closed when we arrived and they left a massage that they have problems and asked to call them for another place! First we never been in the hotel that we payed for him !! Second al the phons called between them and us cost us more then the price for the hotel! Third .we spent around 3ours from our vacation in this place to find and to get to the new placee that they send us! The new place was without elevator and with lot of stairs that was really difficult to manage for couple in our age! (71-74years old)!
Gallipoli
The hotel has excellent location in the historical center of Gallipoli, the staff is very helpful and kind (we arrived in the morning, much earlier than the check in time but they accommodated us within 20 minutes), there are beautiful terraces - in front of the rooms and also the roof terrace where breakfast is served and where one can watch the sunset. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Gallipoli
We loved our stay at Corte Moline! Starting with the host, Alberto, who was so helpful and friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The location was great for seeing the Old town section of Gallipoli and the local beach. We loved the room, it's history, and the serene decor. The terraces were spacious with amazing views. The breakfast was great with wonderful local foods. The bed was super comfy too!
Gallipoli
The place is gorgeous, clean, furnished with great taste, VERY well-located and has a wonderful charm. The owner was also very understanding and waited additionally for us as we got confused with the location on Google Maps (there is another street called "Corte Fondaco" on the other side of Gallipoli): this was very kind and we are very thankful for this.
The hotel has eclectic taste and interesting decoration - definitely stands out from the rest of Puglia hotels. Location was superb - 5 minutes to the beach and very close to everything in historical town. The room was big and bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was nice, the rooftop bar is good and service were friendly.
Gallipoli
The hotel was in the quiet area and had private pool. The breakfast area was served near the pool. It was 5 minutes drive to center Gallipoli where all the restaurants and bars located. Breakfast was great and fresh fruit and bakery. The pool was amazing and staffs were really friendly.
The location is beautiful and has a real Italian sphere. The people are wonderful and super nice! They do everything to fulfill your wishes and the food is godly. Everything is selfmade and they use wine and olive oil out of their own garden! Italy at its best… Absolute recommendation!
The owners, Alberto and Ivana who were hospitable and warm hearted. Alberto recommended a restaurant called Osteria del Vico which was the best seafood restaurant we've been in Italy! The quality of seafood there was exceptional. The room was beautifully decorated.
Gallipoli
We liked everything: location, room, decor, breakfast by the sea and super nice owner or representative Mario. He’s super helphul and kind person. It’s big priviledge to meet people like Mario. Best of Italy
The beach was lovely and we had it almost to ourselves, the hotel was good and the breakfast was typical for Europe. The weather was great, one member of staff was excellent.
Everything went well above our expectations. Staff was excellent, hotel, beach area, chairs were perfect. We had a wonderful breakfast there as well.
