This is a nice little hotel that served as a great point to base ourselves as we enjoyed the area. The staff were all very professional and courteous and very helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, which was lovely and the breakfast each day was great!

L'Aquila is a beautiful city, that is clean safe and family oriented.
Extensive work has been done and continues to be done to the various buildings that suffered damage in the 2009 earthquake. The buildings are clean and very little graffiti is evident within the city compared to other cities in Italy and Europe generally. The city has an abundance of restaurants, trattorias, gelati shops and clothing and general shopping
stores. There are many historical sights and churches to visit and a great way to do this is on the hop on hop off electric carts.
Use the city as your base to visit Chieti, Pescara, Sulmona and other places with the bus and rail network.
Highly recommended city to visit.

Really interesting city, very much worth an extended visit. I went to take a two-week Italian course with the Gentilmente school of Italian for foreign students - I would very highly recommend this, I learned a huge amount, my Italian improved massively and I really enjoyed the course. Daniela is an excellent teacher.

LʼAquila is a charming city with good museums, parks, and restaurants. They are still recovering from earthquake damage, and driving in the old city is difficult because many roads have temporary closures for construction. We walked most places except for a driven tour with a guide. The countryside surrounding LʼAquila is gorgeous, and there are many national parks and mountains to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed a day hike around Lago di Scanno.

L'aquila is a lovely small city.
L'aquila is a lovely small city. It has now come to life with great restaurants and is vibrant and beautiful. Reconstruction is not quite finished but nevertheless there is plenty to see and do. There are good transport links to Rome from the central bus station. There are beautiful churches and museums, city centre parks and good restaurants and wine bars. Best to stay in the city centre. City sightseeing is either by a little electric tourist train currently 7 euros pp or tourist vehicle which costs more but has a guide to the city

The city is a nice combination of a slow city life and student city in Italy. So, there are a lot of students, the city main streets are vibrant during day and night, but it is not loud and expenssive. The historic core is beautiful, but still in reconstruction after the earthquake in 2013.
The main problem is that L'Aquila is not a city for people who like to walk. There are a lot of small narrow streets with many (legally and illegally) parked cars, pavement is not proper in most of streets, i.e., bumpy and with holes. The city is very hilly, but finding alternatives (city buses, taxis) is not easy.

Unfortunately, after 14 years from the earthquake, works on buildings and facilities are still ongoing. Only two streets in the city centre are done and offer a pleasant space to walk through. I stayed only 1,5 days. On a longer trip I would have booked an excursion on the beautiful Gran Sasso which you can clearly see from downtown.
Everything was excellent! We were very well received by lovely staff. The room was nice, very clean.
As for the breakfast, it was the best we have ever had in a hotel and served by delightful ladies.
The location was great. The hotel locates in the city center, bustling with vibrant bars, restaurants, and a lively atmosphere. I enjoyed the nightlife there. The place was very nice and clean.
Everything is excellent.
If I lived in Italy I would want to live in this apartment.
The owners are lovely and friendly.
Everything is perfect, they have thought of so much!
