Although it may have lost some of it’s glamour, the Lido offers a relaxing escape from Venice. We loved the beach side bars and cafes and people watching while drinking Aperol Spritz. A great vibe, friendly locals and a good choice of eating & drinking places. Also the best ice cream in Venice.
Lido is across the lagoon from Venice proper. A short hop away on the water bus lines. Very modern with a good motor bus system. Quiet and tranquil. Away from the hustle and bustle and conjestion of Venice proper.
If you don't mind paying 100 Euros for a nice meal with wine anywhere in Venice.... there are few options available. Lido is much less frenetic and exorbitant ..lovely culture and of course Venice is just beautiful but beware it's very pricey for many. Renting a scooter for around 35 Euros day on lido is an excellent idea because it's far less congested. Venice is insanely busy.
Hotel is across the street from the vapporeto stop so very convenient to start each day's adventures after a very generous breakfast buffet. Nearby are several nice local restaurants for evening meals. Easy boat ride directly to Murano and Burano islands to see lace making & glass blowing. About 15 minutes over to St. Mark's square. Highly recommend!
We discovered Le Boulevard Hotel in Lido when we were looking for a Venice hotel that had two rooms for four adults and 2 teens. Lido was a lot less expensive but had tons of character. The beach is just a great bonus on top of all that Venice and Murano have to offer. Imagine being in Venice on a beach. The hotel was reasonable. The commute by water taxi to and from Venice or Murano was so much fun we did not care that it took 15 to 20 minutes. The hotel let us park our giant van in the back so it was safe. The restaurants on Lido are actually less expensive than in Venice but no less wonderful. Gelato everywhere and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Perfection. It was great to be in Venice all day amongst the crowds then take a water taxi back to Lido to the quiet island at night. Safe, easy walk to the ferry and extremely gracious people. Next time we'd factor in more time for the beach and maybe not go over in high summer season. I'd love to see Venice in the winter too.

Although its located in Lido, the hotel is easily accessible from all parts of and near venice mainland. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that goes up to the waterbus station lido. The hotel was kind enough to offer us a free upgrade to a better room. Breakfast spread is also worth it. Friendly staff and a very beautiful beach just outside. Totally worth the expense!!

The location was near the beach but was a fair walk to the ferry. We really enjoyed our stay and would travel back to Venice just to stay in this hotel. Highly recommended.

The whole hotel was very comfortable and nice. The personal was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the hotel situation was quiet and the way to the ferry and beach was really short. Also restaurants and shopping was near by the hotel so you can do all things without a car or public transport.

The hotel was just perfect for us, a group of six with one lady using a wheel chair. It is just across the road from the landing jetty where the blue line Alilaguna boat comes from the airport. There was a disabled access room on the ground floor. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were incredibly helpful. Restaurants were very close and we were over to central Venice in a few minutes on the waterbus. The rooms were good and spacious. Lovely views across the lagoon, especially from the terrace.

The whole athmosphere was absolutely relaxing. The daily boat trip to the old city was like going on a bus (but with fresh air)( buying a 7 day ticket paid off); coming back to the garden after a hot day sightseeing was like entering another world. A short dip into the lukewarm ocean satisfied the swimmer; then around eight dinner under the trees and winding down with a glass of whine. Almost like in the movie after the novel "Death in Venice" by Thomas Mann.
