· Maria, the proprietor was great..very helpful. The hotel is well run, efficient check-in and check-out. I was surprised to discover that there was a private terrace outside my room with a little table and chairs…and a view of the sea!! Fantastic. Air conditioning was very strong, the room was large and comfortable…. I look forward to my next visit.

Villa Romana Hotel & Spa is set in the charming town of Minori, a jewel of the Amalfi Coast, within easy reach of Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, and Pompeii.

The staff were welcoming upon arrival and check in was very fast. Our double room was large and had a high level of cleanliness. The bathroom was a good size, very clean and had an excellent shower. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of options - toasts, cereals, pastries, cakes, meats and cheeses. The hotel is centrally located in Minori which meant that numerous lunch and dinner options were only a couple minutes away. We also availed of the Roman baths Spa experience which was very relaxing and very good value for money.

Hotel Caporal has been in the family and open to the public since 1860. Set in the heart of Minori, it is 164 feet from the Villa Romana Museum and just a few steps from the beach.

This bustling little hotel room was a wonderful place to stay on our long hike from Salerno. The hotel owner greeted us warmly even though we arrived very late for check in, and our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. You are just steps away from several great restaurants and cafes and the public beach in Minori where you can get on the ferry to go to your next destination. 10/10 for convenience. This is a romantic village on the Amalfi coast offering a more quiet environment, yet still buzzing with bars and restaurants on the small front. After we left the Minori Palace Hotel, we went to explore other areas in and around the Positano areas and settled on the beach at Maori. Parking was easy and cheap with plenty of bars and takeaways to choose from on the sea front.

Minori is one of the smaller villages at Amalfi coast, but it's perfect to stay in. You have some restaurants to choose from, you have some space to take a walk and you have a really nice beach. It's not loud at night - much quieter than bigger villages like Amalfi or Positano I guess. We were in almost every village on the Amalfi Coast and our opinion is that Minori was the best possible choice to have a stay.

Minori is a lovely little town and for us, much nicer than its much busier neighbours. Would defintiely recommend as a place to stay and then you can take the boats from the pier to get to those 'busier' locations.

Minori is one of the smaller towns on the coast.

Minori is one of the smaller towns on the coast. It’s very flat and has a lovely port area and town square. There are a variety of restaurants/bars and cafes and some lovely patisseries! It was quieter when we were there, and less commercialised than Amalfi and Positano for example. Everything seems much more reasonably priced too!

We visited a few of the Amalfi Coast cities and must say that Minori was great, being a bit more quiet, other towns tend to get a bit crazy in tourist season. Walking the path of the lemons was also great and also hiking from Ravello to Minori. Really one of the most beautiful landscapes I have every seen. A trip to Italy is not complete without visiting this area.

The Amalfi coast was so beautiful, Minori had a lovely places to eat, food was great, had lots of restaurant, views where stunning. Not much to do for children apart from the beach, more for an adult. Easy access by bus and boat
