The Sophistication Behind Supercars
A foodie heaven, affluent Modena is also a petrolhead paradise, as Italy’s most prestigious supercars are crafted in and around the city. The three-pronged Maserati logo proudly marks their Modena headquarters, while a museum in Cittanova to the west houses vintage vehicles.

UNESCO World Heritage-listed Piazza Grande is a cobbled square part-lined with the porticoed town hall. Opposite is the 12th-century, white-marble cathedral which is overlooked by the Ghirlandina belltower.
A few streets away, stately Palazzo Ducale is home to the Italian Military Academy, but was once inhabited by the powerful Este family after they fled Ferrara.
