ItalyWell, we are talking about a Hotel and Restaurant inside the walls of Montefalco, inside the historical centrer. The place is near an external parking lot and it is really easy to arrive; the room was clear the beds were ok, the staff really kind.

There you can also eat local recipes, like "omelette al tartufo (truffle)", or like "pici ai funghi e tartufi", and delicius sweets like "cantucci al sagrantino". The food was delicius.

The property is very new, clean and has everything you could need. Its layout is thoughtful and the sofa is comfortable to rest after walking around montefalco.
It's very cool and the air conditioning is very welcome on hot 35 degree days.
Riccardo was on hand if we needed anything. It was very easy to access to apartment and free parking was literally two streets down outside the walls.
Great central location to stay in montefalco main town.

We spent perfect holidays here, the apartment was great strating point for various nice excursions and trips both to the nature and Umbria towns and villages.

We had Montefalco on our 10 days travel through Lazio,...
We had Montefalco on our 10 days travel through Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany mostly because of the wines produced in the area. They did not disappoint, and the town itself was certainly worth a visit for those who enjoy the hill town environment and great food and drink. We traveled in November, and were happy that crowds were not a problem. It was cool but not too cold, and we did not need a reservation for dinner. As a bonus, we got to see the pope on his travel there- joined a happy group of residents on the sidewalk waiting to see him. We will be learning Italian for the next trip but found that residents were happy to work with us to help us make ourselves understood.

This is an incredibly beautiful town with sweeping views of Umbria. Well located in terms of visiting the surrounding villages and Perugia. There are very fine restaurants, as well as terrific mom and pop options, year round. Be sure to see the art and the artifacts in the museum, just off the main piazza. According to Frances Mayes (author of Under the Tuscan Sun), the collection could rival anything in Italy. Lastly, don't forget to savor the Sagrantino!

Quaint town located within half an hour of some more popular towns such as Assisi. Many nice shops and good restaurants to choose from.
Try the Enoteca L'Alchimista or Locanda dei Teatro for great experiences and food!

Montefalco is a lovely pre-Roman town.
Montefalco is a lovely pre-Roman town. Be prepared for incline walking (it is a hill town after all). Piazza del Comune is a good place to sit and people-watch (Enoteca Federico II is a comfortable choice). Many shops sell local and hand-crafted products (in addition to expected wine and olive oil). Complesso Museale di San Francesco is well worth a visit to see frescoes by Gozzoli and Perugino. Lots of hotels and restaurants to choose from (I would avoid Il Verziere at all costs. Ended up there by default when Pizzeria La Panoramica was closed and couldn't even eat their gummy crust pizza). A wonderful town to visit. Oh, and remember to visit at least one or two wineries. Scacciadiavoli was especially informative and provided an excellent tasting experience.

Montefalco is absolutely beautiful.
Montefalco is absolutely beautiful. Stunning views, very relaxed atmosphere, great wineries and restaurants. Surrounded by farmland and fields of sunflowers. If you want to escape the tourist traps and relax in the real Italy, this is the place to do it. You will have to book well in advance, but a meal at Via da Mezzo, run by celebrity Italian chef Gioergione Barchesi is a must. Just make sure your really hungry.

The restaurants in Monte Falco are amazing and all in short working distance. The food, wine, ambiance and service is excellent across the board. There are also several scenic spots for drinks before dinner. It's also the perfect home base to visit wineries and beautiful Umbrian towns such as Assisi, Orvieto, Spello and Spelleto.

Villa Pambuffetti is positioned perfectly just outside the fortification walls of lovely Montefalco. We were made to feel very welcome in this comfortable old villa furnished with antiques and with all the modern amenities including a lovely pool, which was much appreciated in 35C heat in the Umbria region. Within walking distance are many restaurants and bars, some with outstanding views.

Just outside Montefalco and easy to walk to. Staff were friendly, respectful, responsive and decent people. Family owned and operated. Best country Agriturismo/Casa Rurale we have stayed in, in Europe.
