The city is not really interesting but located in the Monte Sibillini National Park. The whole area was also terribly affected by the 2016 earthquake and just starting the reconstruction. Norcia is also known for good food (truffle, sausages, ricotta)GillesBelgium

The host was super friendly and was waiting for us when we arrived for the check in. We also got some great suggestions on where to eat and what to visit in the area. The town itself is still recovering from the earthquake years ago so we did our little bit and bought a ton of Salame di Norcia and other local products.

He took care of us, by indicating a very good restaurant 10 minutes walking distance and also provided gluten and lactose free items for breakfast.
