Set in Monti Sibillini National Park, FonteAntica Agriturismo is 6.2 mi outside Norcia and ideal for visiting the Valnerina. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, well decorated, very clean and peaceful. The stuff was so kind, welcoming and gave us the best tips to discover the area without bumping into too many turists. I definitely recommend staying at Antica Fonte, I hope I will have the chance to go back.

Featuring a spacious garden with BBQ facilities, table tennis and children’s playground, Il Vigneto offers a self-catering house in Norcia. Free Wi-Fi access is available in public areas. We had breakfast in the garden. Hot coffee and delicious cake in the sunshine with a beautiful view. The apartment was warm and comfortable with a bedroom, kitchen/lounge and bathroom. It is situated a little way up the hill with a lovely garden with views of Norcia and the surrounding hills. We were met with warm hospitality. My husband was a little unwell and the owner was very kind and helpful. She invited us to extend our departure time the next day, which we took advantage of, enjoying the sunshine in the garden. It is within easy walking distance of the centre of Norcia despite having a relaxed country ambience.

One of the most special places we have visited. We heard about the earthquake but we didn't know about its extension. We understand the city is still rebuilding and we were impressed with the beauty of the area.
Norcia and the national park are wonderful but you have to make allowances with the town, and others in the area, because of the earthquake that caused so much damage. That said, the countryside is as beautiful as ever and there is a lot to see and do. So do go to visit as you will get great value and the local people really need our support.
Norcia was great for its local produce. The town is still suffering from the effects of the 2016 earthquake and a number of restaurants and bars are still closed. It is well worth helping Norcia to recover as the food and remaining facilities are excellent.
Beautiful place to spend a few days wandering, eating, enjoying the pace of life. Much to do if you have time and are inclined to drive out for walks etc - I could definitely spend longer than our two days though I would have some activities planned for it ! People are fabulous. It is such a crying shame to see how slowly the repairs are coming on since 2016 but shows real strength of character for those who have continued. The tagliere at norcinerie SAN Benedetto comes highly recommended. We had a most wonderful dinner at Granaro Del Monte : food wine and service all fab. Cenacolo was another hit - a touch humbler, absolutely so tasty. Order the lamb!
Whilst the town is in recovery mode following the earthquake two years ago, it’s definitely still worth the visit. Great restaurants and if you like anything piggy it’s a must! Located in stunning countryside with walking and horse trekking available.
The town is a sad place still with a lot of earthquake damage. A few businesses are trying hard to recover. The road from Visio to Castelluccio is closed and the latter village, in the Piano Grande, is completely closed off after 3 years.
The resturant was everything you would expect from a Michelin Star . Excellent and friendly staff.
