Many families visiting Padova loved staying at Hotel Autostrada, Hotel Casanova, and Hotel Patavium.
Some of the best hotels in Padova near Prato della Valle include Foresteria Conti, sulle tracce di Shakespeare, La Finestra Sul Ghetto and Ciao Amore.
Hotel Casanova, Hotel Patavium, and Hotel Canton dell'Orto are some of the popular hotels in Padova.
For hotels in Padova that serve highly-rated breakfasts, try Hotel Patavium, Crowne Plaza Padova, an IHG Hotel, and Hotel Casanova.
These hotels in Padova are highly rated by couples: Hotel Casanova, Hotel Patavium, and Hotel Canton dell'Orto.
Hotel Canton dell'Orto, Art Hotel Al Fagiano, and Hotel Donatello got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Padova.
An artistic gem, Padua (or Padova in Italian) seamlessly combines awe-inspiring heritage and a modern vibe. Counting Galileo among its former tutors, the University has the world’s oldest UNESCO World Heritage-listed botanical garden.
Across the road is huge Prato della Valle, a green square with a canal lined by 78 statues, and home to a Saturday market. A market is also held in squares near to Palazzo della Ragione whose multilevel arches and vaulted wood ceiling are an impressive sight. Cobbled, portico streets lead to the finely-crafted Gran Loggia and clock tower.
Every church has incredible décor, but the most famous is Saint Anthony of Padua, featuring the bones of the saint, an impressive 7 cupolas and 4 cloisters. The square in front has a statue by Donatello. Padua Cathedral's simple exterior houses amazing frescoes inside the baptistery by Giotto, creator of the jewel in Padua’s crown – the Scrovegni Chapel. His 14th century frescoes there have been meticulously restored to be as vibrant as the day they were painted.
The closest airport is Venice Marco Polo, but before you head there from your Padua hotel, apartment or B&B take time to enjoy the narrow streets around Palazzo del Bò or the Jewish district.
Loved Padova. Stayed right in the Ghetto area the first time we went at La Finestra Sul Ghetto, loads of character. Didn't enjoy where we stayed the second time though (Erik Langer Pedrocchi Suites), too clinical.
Lovely city, with amazing architecture. Lot to see, lot to do, and lot to eat delicious Italian food. Padova had a couple of best pizzeria in the World. Center is typical Italian, but unique in his own style. It is a must visit, for everyone.
If it only were for the Basilica of St. Anthony, it was worth the trip. This church is pure beauty, incredible, breathtaking. What I also love about Italy is great food everywhere and Padova is not an exception. Staff everywhere is very friendly and Italians (not only in Padova) seems to love dogs - I could take my dog to every restaurant without any problems and the dog usually also gets a bowl of water and few nice words from the waiter.
Padua has a very nice and old city center. Lots of unique small stores, not only global chain stores or only touristique. We spend two weeks because of a ultimate frisbee tournament, but for a normal city trip a couple of days is enough to discover Padua.
For four decades I have wanted to see the frescoes in the Arena Chapel. They influenced my work and my dreams for many years. This year I got to go. After having pored over reproductions and done studies of these masterful and innovative paintings from 1305, I felt, when I went, that I was in a room with old friends. I had just seen the Sistine Chapel in Rome, and I will tell you, the frescoes of Giotto are much more magnificent, especially when you understand their place in history. And yet even more than just having an art history interest, they are so human, earthly, solid and full of pathos. Padova was a delight and my favorite city. It's understated charm feels warm and gracious and the infusion of university culture enlivens it. I will be back to explore more surprises of Padova.
Chose Padova mostly because of its proximity to Venice, which can be reached by train pretty easily. The city itself is quite nice actually. Lovely old city center, interesting history and less tourists than Venice - which was, unfortunately, overwhelmed by tourists at the time.
Very convenient location, literally all the sights and the old city at hand. Large parking lot. Good breakfasts. Very friendly hosts of the hotel. Clean room. Interesting design. Large room. If you want to travel by high-speed train to Venice is also very pleasant, because right around the corner 100 meters from the hotel there is a tram stop, 5 stops and you are already at the Padova station, and from there by high-speed train 20 minutes and you have already arrived at the Venezia santa lucia station and walk around Venice in pleasure.
There's not a thing I could complain about with the Hotel Giotto in Padua, Italy! Perfectly located in Old Padua, and close to the University facilities I needed to access for my trip, this hotal had everything I could ask for in this price bracket - it was spotlessly clean, has lift access to higher floors (so no struggling with suitcases), and the staff were cheerful & bent over backwards to accommodte every request! It's also close to lots of tourist-worthy sites. I'll definitely be booking it for my next trip to this city.
Padova
we couldn't find better place in Padova. in the heart of the old city, with really good conditions inside, and what most important, with very kind and helpful host of the hotel - Susi. together with her daugther they provide everything which is expected by visitors. so we've really sorry, that we only spent one day at that place. so if You plan to visit Padova, definitely You could choose Casa Battisti for stay (and definitely longer than one night). Thank You Susi!
We liked the environment, quiet and calm. We liked the new room ( after asking for a replacement because of the smell in the first bedroom). We liked the director, who could communicate clearly and he was very helpful and his assistant as well. The breakfast was good, but, it was weird a hotel in Italy doesn't have grape juice as an option. Mainly because the hotel is based in the countryside. We liked it overall.
My husband and I stayed for a couple of days at CANTON DELL ORTO and had a great stay at their premisses. The hotel was super clean and comfortable. Facilities are recently refurbished. The place is located very close to bus and tram stations as well as just a 20 min walk from the main Padova bus, railways station. We really enjoyed our stay at Canton dell Orto and will be back once in Padova again.
Service was exceptional. In particular, the lady at breakfast managed to serve (due to COVID restrictions buffet was restricted) all our family while there were other guests as well. On the other hand, in other hotels we stayed at in Italy, this proved more than challenging for waitresses. Parking and garage was abundant, after parking in Italy for more than a week this was a relief
I was on a conference at the Botanical Garden and this was 3 min walk from it.- Really central and charming hotel and you can reach anything in the city easily by foot. The breakfast is more varied than other hotels in Italy in general and very tasty, with lots of options. The staff is also really nice and very welcoming!
Padova
The room was lovely and comfortable, breakfast was great, and it was an easy walk to explore all the places in Padua I was hoping to see. Irene & Tommaso were helpful and responsive, and I had a great conversation with Irene about exploring Italy. All in all, a pleasure to be there!
Very nice hotel. Rooms have names not number! Clean Rooms. Very nice service. We did not feel like in a hotel but like visiting extended family. Close to the train station and only 30 minutes from Venice. Great place as a base for visiting Padova, Verona, Venezia. Highly recomended.
The room was larg and, bed very comfortable. 5 min drive to central Padova. Free parking all around the hotel and underground. We were also able to use the parking lot at their other hotel, which is further in the center, Best Western Plus Galileo for free.
Hotel Casa del Pellegrino is nice, clean hotel with good location, nearby center of the town. Parking place is excellent, which is very important in city like Padova. We can recommend this hotel.
The NH Hotel has all the amenities and favours of the NH hotels chain. Clean, good beds, delicious and huge breakfast. The reception staff was very kind and helpful.
the room was fair enough even if it was difficult to reach one side of the bed. the hotel is located next to the university and quite close to the center
This is one of the best hotels we've been to, and we've been to many! The room was nice, cozy, and very clean, and the bathroom was very modern.
This hotel has very good location on the square (across the street from St. Antonio's Basilica). Breakfast was good.
Excellent staff, good breakfast, good location and good price. Cozy nice hotel.
