Staff wonderful, speak English well and some Spanish. So helpful in finding my wife's grandfather's village, Pavana, and we used the same route to return to Bologna which avoided the traffic on the major highways to Bologna, A11 and others.
Set at the foot of the hills, Hotel Villa Cappugi has a pretty setting in the Tuscan countryside, 1.9 mi from the historical center of Pistoia.

We got stuck in the train strike on our way to La Spezia. We got stuck in Pistoria for hours at the train station and were so happy that this beautiful hotel was available and sent a car right away for us, the pool was great and the restaurant as well. The surrounding hills are so beautiful. They saved our vacation

Staff was very friendly but don’t expect everyone to speak English. They would try to help you with that ever you ask them. Breakfast was nice but because they couldn’t understand English I never go to understand when they started and ended the breakfast.
Location was nice as well.
With a spacious garden equipped with BBQ facilities, Podere Campofossato offers rooms a 15-minute drive from Pistoia city center. The property produces its own oil and honey.
Featuring a garden, Locanda dei Fiori is in the center of Pistoia, 492 feet from Piazza Duomo. The property offers free Wi-Fi and free bike rental, and Pistoia Train Station is 0.7 mi away.
A gem of a town! Lots of wonderful shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. The locals were always kind and patient with my attempt at speaking italian! Great night life, the centre is awash with locals out eating and drinking every night. The train station is a short walk outside the pedestrian area, with trains to take you all over tuscany and beyond.

Wonderful atmospheric largely medieval and early Renaissance City - very compact and walkable. Less than 45 minutes from Florence by train but with less than 1 % of the tourist numbers. Surrounded by wonderful countryside. Beautiful in itself as well as being an ideal touring base at a fraction of the price or congestion of Florence. Very easy to get around on foot and with a very good selection of restaurants in the historic center serving excellent Tuscan cuisine

Having stayed in the hustle and bustle of Pisa and Florence previously, I loved the more laid back feel here.
Plenty of cafes, restaurants, little shops, beautiful architecture all within walking distance and not overly crowded.
The little squares had live music and the local families came out together to eat on Sunday. There was even a local wine tasting tour around the squares - you purchased a glass (refundable, or keep as a souvenir) and then 'tickets' to try the different wines at each trattoria that was participating - some 20+ - needless to say, a little tiddled by the afternoon!
The market (on Wednesday and Saturday) was lovely and there were no street traders bothering you with their fake watches and leather goods that were everywhere in the bigger cities.
Pistoia was the best part of our Italian tour!

While it is a typical Italian Toscana town, it has a lot of space for improvements. Amazing floral sites and offers but otherwise the streets and buildings feel neglected except of around the few main attractions. But that's quite common even in Florence or Pisa. Obviously not a lot of need to do more when your sites are full of tourists anyway. :)
In short - at Borgo in Città you won't miss even a single little thing - Sabrina has put so much care and effort to make you really feel like at home. The apartment is extremely clean, a private parking space nearby is an additional benefit, and Pistoia is a great base if you want to explore this part of Italy, either by car or train. Dear Sabrina, thank you once again for everything, we really enjoyed it! ♥️♥️♥️
Really nice and modern rooms, spacious and clean. We found free overnight parking only 5 mins away. The owner was really nice and was always ready to help, he also gave us tips for our visit in Italy. Breakfast at a nearby location, which we found pretty nice, but not a lot of options.
Very nice location, perfect for visit Pistoia and surroundings. In eight minutes in car you can reach Pistoia center. Very calm place if you like peace and silence. Jana, the owner are very nice person...you fell like home. Thank you, I will be back for sure!
The hotel is a hidden gem in a wonderful town. Both breakfast (included) and dinner (paid extra) were superb and I’d love to have stayed longer. Our rooms (me and mum) looked over the piazza Della Sala and it was so lively. Fantastic.
The perfect combination of a palazzo-style villa in prestine condition and one of the most beautiful gardens we’ve seen in Italy. Good restaurant, perfect pool, fantastic atmosphere
