Modern. Everywhere spotlessly clean, I gather it only opened in summer 2021. Good AC and WiFi. Comfortable bed. Fridge and a safe in the room. Very good soundproofing. Our room was at the front. The street below was very busy on Saturday night but we hardly heard a sound. Highly recommended.

Battistero Residenza d'Epoca, Palazzo 42 - Boutique Hotel & Suites, and Hotel Villa Cappugi are some of the popular hotels in Pistoia.
We loved the baroque town, the ambiance and the restaurants, the food. It is very easy to get around central Pistoia on foot. We ate in two restaurants right behind the Baptistery, bioth were great, though in a different style. We spent 2x1 day, it was way too short.
The Marino Marini museum was spectacular and the embroidery museum was charming. especially due to Anna, whongave me a personal guided tour. The Taverna Gargantua in Piazzetta Ortaggio (where the fruit and vegetable market is) was amazing, delicious local food. The main market was disappointing, cheap clothes and such.
I am surprised that no more tourists visit this most interesting old city. Artistically, it has some excellent old churches (not only the Duomo). The highlights of our visit, however were the excellent displays at the Ospedale del Ceppo and the Palazzo dei Vescovi museums (we were given a wonderful guided tour of the latter).
If you like small Tuscan towns this is for you. More relaxed and "real" than cities like Florence. There's a beautiful centre with interesting architecture (baptistry, duomo, palazzi and three lovely piazzas. Art works in various churches, especially pulpits by the Pisano family and temporary exhibitions in some of the public buildings. Apparently also various festivals at times during the summer. Excellent Tuscan food with some twists in numerous restaurants in the centre and not overpriced. Enough tourists to confirm its reputation but not overwhelmed by groups etc. in mid September. A map guides a walking tour which only takes an hour or two but its worth staying a few days. It could be an excellent base for visiting other places in the area. We loved watching local families enjoying a Sunday evening and then seeing the daily market setting up in the morning and kids going to school. Advise to stay close as possible to the centre (such as Il Battistero the outskirts appeared a bit dreary.
Much nicer to stay there and travel into Florence. Easy access to Lucca and other places on the train. The old hospital has interesting tunnels, The fortress could be a real asset, but there is a lack of information on it.
We loved visiting the Marino Marini Museum, drinking Negronis in a piazza and eating in a great little restaurant, "Trattoria dell'Abbondanza". If you love strolling around getting lost and enjoying the local atmosphere -Pistoia, like Venice is the perfect destination.
Wonderful Place to relax and to discover the enviroment of Pistoia, Montecatini Alto, Lucca and other nice places. Charming , very clean apartement, very good breakfast with homemade cakes and products from the own agriturismo, the breakfast is served on the outdoor terrace, where we can enjoy the view of the beautiful surrounding(garden,Hills...) Antonella is a very gentle , warm-hearted Person and she is very engaged in the wellbeiing of her guests. We will come back!! Antonella a lot of thanks Doris und Wolfgang
Pistoia
I have traveled in Italy many times. I am not a fan of high end hotels. What I liked about this accommodation is the spirit of Italy I found. Lots of space, lots of chickens even a peacock and of course, a cat. The hosts were wonderful, so considerate, making our stay quite memorable. My friend from Prato thought a visit to Pisoia would not be that interesting but I thought it a city worthy of exploration.
Pistoia
The apartment is beautiful and clean. Very comfortable. Great little kitchen with nice new appliances. Location couldn't be better in our opinion! Just steps from the front door are many different bar and restaurant options and a very lively square. Short and easy walk to everything. We are very happy with our stay at this apartment in Pistoia.
Pistoia
Nice comfortable room with a really big bathroom. Staff are friendly but speak little English. Swimming pool is shared with outside guests (looks like guests outside the property can buy a day ticket and use the swimming pool as well). Breakfast is simple (compared to all the buffet breakfasts we've had in North Italy) but enough.
Pistoia
As the titel implies this place exceeded my expectations in every regard! I would have loved to stay longer if i could. The hospitality and service is great, location is great, breakfast is great! Highly recommend it to anyone who intend to stay in Pistoia. :) Everyone is so friendly, I have enjoyed every bit of my time here.
Very cozy, family run hotel, quietly located in the Tuscany mountains. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and attentive to our family including our dog. Very nice, full italian breakfast and even better dinner. Only fifteen min away from autostrada (if you really want to leave those mountains).

In the very historical center of the town, this is an old and elegant hotel with all the modern facilities you may need. Excellent breakfast and staff. A great option for visiting Pistoia, a place definitely worth a visit.

Everything was perfect. The communication on Whatsapp, prior my arriving. The breakfast in Club V was a special experience, a few steps walking from the hotel. The room was super clean and confortable.

The hotel staff were brilliant, they went above and beyond multiple times during our stay in order to help us out. The pool area which included was lovely too.
Lovely hotel outside of Pistoia. Rooms were decorated well and the common dining area was very pretty. Swimming pool was very nice and well maintained.

Lovely quiet location, on top of the hill. Old big villa with a beautiful garden and big swimming pool with sun beds. Excellent rooms, clean and spacious, with 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Wonderful place to get rest and do the sight seeing of Toscania Gulia is a lovely person who made this place unique and exceptional. Lists of positive energy... We planned to stay only 3 days there, but decided to extend our stay by one day, to get more of this energy for us.... Hope we see next year..
